So France and GB are at war as usual. I play the Golden Horde and have been working on the Great Khan and Turning the Tides achievement (I have taken over all of Russia and Persia under my direct control, China is under Ming and Zhou my vassals and yet the achievement hasn't fired yet) and am in the middle of Westernization (for lack of a better thing to do). I am France's side as a CoB and Sweden is on GB's side as a CoB. Due to my insane army size, I have all of Sweden under my occupation. Since I am in the middle of westernization, I need to save my monarch points and not take any land. However, the AI France will accept peace deals from a Sweden that wants a separate peace and give me a huge amount of land while completely draining my dip points. Unfortunately, I do not have any diplomats right now to make a separate peace myself before Sweden can. How do I stop France from giving me lands? I have some claims in Finland, but the AI doesn't even give those lands sometimes and just hands me random lands that I can't core across Sweden. This is a huge problem for me obviously and I have not allowed the AI to determine peace for me. It would be nice to indicate to the AI somehow that I don't want any land or even better that before any peace deal that involves my country, the AI will come to me and see if I will accept those conditions (as would historically occur, as many real peace deals would involve almost every belligerent instead of some unilateral decisions by one power). This was a feature I hoped would be added in Art of War and the newest patch but I have yet to see something on this level of AI-player interaction and due to the new war leader and CoB system, has become much more vital. Any thoughts?

Can you just give the control of the siege to France? When you do, they can not give you the provinces in peace deals. When you click on a fully taken local under your control, there should be your sheild on the page about half-way down. Click on the shield, then select Frances' Shield. Bam, they now control that siege and you will not receive it in the peace deal. Obviously, you should keep control of any land you do want to take.

1) You could just transfer the occupation to someone else, like France instead.
2) How do you even know France will peace out Sweden and give you a bunch of land? Your playing Ironman to get the achievement right?
3) The Great Khan is currently bugged because a province you need has become wasteland in 1.8
4) Why do you have no diplomats? If you did, you could also sell the provinces back to someone who wants them.

1)Isn't the transfer occupation an AoW only feature? I can't really use it if I only have the free version right now. I'm just not comfortable shelling out $20 on AoW right now.
2)I can somehow exit without the peace deal saving and redoing the month.
3)What really? Arggggghhhh.
4)They're all in East Asia right now for various reasons.

If you have enough money you can drain your dip points by queuing some buildings. If you have no dip points the AI can't give you anything in the peace deal. When you cancel the buildings afterwards it will fully refund monarch points but, and that's the downside, only 50% of the gold.

That's a really interesting point. I'll try something like that.
