<No Game Found> air mission

I had two strat bombers and two fighters grouped together, trying to make a strategic bombing run on Wilhelmshaven from Dover. The normal pathfinding wanted to take them through Antwerp, where some German fighters were blocking my path. I tried to get around the fighers by first flying into the middle of the North Sea. Once I arrived there, I paused and ctrl-clicked on Wilhelmshaven in an attempt to set up a strategic bombing mission. It brought up the CCB, but the mission listed was <No Game Found>. This was the only mission I could select. So I let it run. The planes flew to Wilhelmshaven, then turned around and flew home without attacking it.

I can confirm that this happens sometimes. But I think that it is always when you try to change the orders during a flight. It is impossible too, to fly further then the maximum range of a aircraft by pressing shift + left mouse button on multiple provinces!
