No Free France?

So playing as soviets on historical. France falls, Vichy is formed and then.... Free France capitulates?!?!

What the hell is going on? I´m playing the beta and the checksum is ok.

Thats normal, its not till a few focuses later that Free France may flip some overseas French territory

It exists as a government in exile, so it can continue its national focus tree at a minimum. Also, Free France usually gets some Pacific island states to begin with.

As far as the Free France capitulation event, I think it's just replacing the usual French capitulation. Did you get both events?

Yes I did, North France german as usual.

Was Japan (or someone else) already at war with the Allies (or just France). Its possible that the islands in the South Pacific that usually go to Free France at start were already occupied, resulting in the quick capitulation before the African Colonies could switch over.
