Those ships look really pretty. I must say I was fairly unoptimistic after the map DD but those nice boats (How come there's more than one on one tile? Will this be the case for all navies so we get a look at the type of ships in the fleet?) made up for it. My first game will definitely be Japan.

Question arose as me and my co-worker discussed the two CL-s on the picture: are those real-life models, and if yes, then what was the reason of positioning the turrets in such way (ie. Nürnberg CL6).

Mostly German Shepard Dog - his dad was a white GSD and his mum was a GSD/collie cross.

I don't buy the time thing. My theory is that after all the counter complaints spamming, they found it better not to show us anything

I assume theres a large difference. I remember one of the devs stating that a Dev Diary takes a whole day to make, because after you have written it you need to follow and answer question etc. on the forum.
Comparing that to the maybe 5-10 min tops that they have used to answer in this thread, you cant really compare it.
Though i agree its not safe to show anything to this forum

DDs are at least a few hours to write, and can be more depending on if the writer knows all the details of the feature or has to ask someone else, plus you need to have the UI/art for whatever you are showing in place. And yeah, then there's the time spend following the thread to reply to people/put out fires.

) were pointing. (and, of course, the US & Japanese cruisers are so much sexier)The disposition of the Leipzigs’ armament is curious. You suggest that more guns to the rear is (or could be) because the Kriegsmarine accepted that they would always be fighting defensively and would cede the initiative. Although I’ve not know many Germans personally, this, IMHO, does not sound like German military thinking or any military thinking for that matter (although it must be said that “Kaufman” does sound a little Germanic to me). That said, I don’t have (& am unable to find) any design information for these ships which explain this layout directly.
I will, however, speculate that their unusual propulsion system of boilers, turbines and diesel engines would require an unusual and very specific layout (*) within the hull space and, therefore, a correspondingly unconventional use of deck space.
* Both the turbines and the diesels would need to be astern of the boilers, with the diesels probably astern of the turbines for efficiency. All this machinery would force the stack very far forward & the bridge, of course, needs to be in front of the stack so… there's not much room left for guns at the pointy end.
