It adds historical accuracy, it’s a blatant attempt to rewrite history to appease the vocal few ‘woke’ minority. To people who hate this decision, what does the word "Deus Vult" actively add to the game? How does it improve the game in any way?

So what ?Jihad is certainly used as a slogan or name by those movements, for instance the al jihad group :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_Islamic_Jihad
lolThe slogane of ISIS is Allahu Akbar
As always the alt-right nazi trolls ruin everything.
PDX can always bring up the argument that for the sake of having any historical resemblance that the game requires mechanic X or gameplay element Y. But guess what? Two words that barely have any influence on the game are apparently not a hill worth dying on.
We both may disagree with their decision but its quite the jump to go from this to "just remove everything from the game cuz pandering"
You're literally getting offended at a game not including an irrelevant phrase.
Terrorists are also constantly calling Allahu Akbar let's ban.
Not adding an irrelevan phrase is not rewritting history. If someone wants to learn about history they should read a book, not play videogames that just care about making profitsIt adds historical accuracy, it’s a blatant attempt to rewrite history to appease the vocal few ‘woke’ minority.
They arent rewritting history. If someone wants to learn history using videogames he is dumb, and that's without mentioning that deus vult was an irrelevant term
Just as in Occident, nobody but Neo-Nazi swear "Deus Vult".
What's interesting to me is that a lot of people in twitch chat started talking about the takbir (the phrase Allahu akbar), which is funny, because the takbir, despite being an extremely common Arabic expression and an integral statement of Islamic faith, does not appear anywhere in the localisation for CK2.
Not adding an irrelevant phrase is not cutting anything. Do you believe that CK2 not having Allahu Akbar is cutting history?Yes in this case they arent rewriting history. In this case they are cutting out a part they - or better said those they want to appease - dont like.
I think it's a great idea, solely based on the fact that so many idiots are offended by it and have promised to stay away from the game.
I'd love for the community of my medieval child murdering incest simulator to have less outright fascists and enlightened centrists turning it into a toxic mess.

I know many young people who learn through video games they’re the new medium of young people removing a phrase as crucial Deus Vult to the period for no apparent reason then that some bad people use it is just stupid beyond beliefNot adding an irrelevan phrase is not rewritting history.
