No county detail in my own territory

New player.

Guides/manuals say to left click on a county to see the detail view. This worked in the past. I created a new title "petty kingdom" out of 3 counties (I had the title for each). County detail is now missing. Left clicking on a county does nothing. I can see county detail for any county outside my own.

I think you have corrupted game. If you use steam try this right click on Crusader Kings II on Steam library page then chose properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game cache. Steam will check the files so they are correct. If it claims to be finished in few seconds do it again it should take some time.

I think that was the problem. I quit, verified integrity of files twice, and reloaded - now there are no problems. Thank you. Strange that a brand new copy would be corrupted, but it appears to be fixed.

UPDATE: Bug Reported by moderator of another thread.

This is a known bug in the Linux version (possibly just some distros?) of the game. Using Alt-Tab to switch between applications causes a number of problems with the mouse interface, including this one. Solution for now: start the game in windowed mode and use the mouse (not alt-tab) if you need to switch between applications.
