No counters at game launch? :(

I think the problem here is that Darkrenown never stated in the beginning of the thread one simple sentence: HoI4 will have counters!
Instead his semi-sarcastic comments are making the matter even worse...

Other than that I think every HoI Player should trust paradox that there will definitely including counters as an option for any HoI game to come. A serious grand strategy wargame without counters doesnt even derserve the name!

I'm sorry "Personally, I think counter-users are a minority. Perhaps it can be one of the stats we track and we'll know for sure." is a difficult statement for you to parse

It is a simple choice for me, if there are counters (preferably nato) I will buy, if it is only sprites at launch I'll keep my wallet closed. Sprites are eye candy that provide little to no info for me. That being said I can't imagine PDox willingly upsetting a substantial part of their potential customer base over something relatively easy to incorporate.

Yeah because its really easy to observe how sensitive and overreactive the HoI community is, observing every small fact about their glorified sucessor of this awesome series.
Its like with a little 5 year old child: They dont understand opinions or sarcasm, only clear facts!

Thats my opinion on how to explain this huge amount of shitstorm that is brewing here :rofl:

Darkrenown, Podcat: If you want to stop the thread in it's (armoured) tracks, a simple statement that Counters will be included in the game from day 1 would suffice. I'm totally unconcerned if I'm in a minority or not - even a minority of one, though that's evidently not the case - but I will not be buying the game to play it with sprites, or even models if you prefer that term.

There was no sarcasm in that post, I was merely sharing my opinion that counter-users were in the minority and expressing a desire to one day track their use and find out for sure, since several posters seemed to take it as a given that everyone used counters.
