No Civil War?

I'm new to VIP (though I've had Vicky for years) and I am playing USA and it is now 1864 with no signs of the CSA. I have gotten tons of events about slavery debates and the compromise and everything. but no secession. So is the ACW avoidable in VIP or is something corrupted?

Never mind. They seceded in 1865. So I guess it is not on a fixed time table now.

In vanilla Victoria, I got the Civil War in the 1850s...

It depends, did the Republicans win in 1860? Did you agree on a compromise in the new cabinet?

They did win in 1860 but I went with full republican cabinet.
