No China DD?

Unfortunately the Poland enthusiasts have been so vocal, even threatening bodily harm against PI employees, owing to its perceived underrepresentation in recent PI games, that the management have decided that Poland's starting provinces will not only include those historically belonging to Poland, but also those that are in the "China Region"

So no China DD, and no China at all, I'm afraid...

I'm really looking forward to some Asian DD, I think the new mechanics will make gameplay in Asia a lot more interesting. Might even spend more time there than in Europe.

Asia will probably be the first major DLC so expect a DD for China after release.

Asia doesn't get much love in Paradox games so I don't expect much to change from EU3 to EU4.

wher edid we get a screenshot of that? or was it in a livestream? if japan is a bit more fun this time i might go for a japanese asian conquest this time. the minamoto and the like clans(not even in their correct places) killed all the fun there for me.

We haven't seen many pictures afaik but they have talked quite a lot about Asia on streams. I also think they got a lot of experience from Sengoku and applied it to EUIV Japan.

I'm hoping for a DLC policy like with CKII where they flesh out regions and time periods as time goes by. In this way, China and some other Asian areas could be given some really awesome attention in DLC.

A bit of an exageration. Q3 is July 1st to Sept. 30th, and Johan dropped a "early Q3" and then corrected himself to "err, or whenever Q3" in the latest livestream, meaning that it's highly likely we'll see this game in late July or something. More like a dozen diaries left.

In the very same livestream they said that EUIV was pretty much ready for shipment, but that they will spend the last few months on extra polishing.
