The DLC does not need to be centered on this, but it would be cool if it/the accompanying patch fleshed out the imprisonment and the ways of getting people in and out of jail a bit. For example:

- a CB on another ruler to release a prisoner (e.g. when you don't want to pay ransom or the ruler refuses to release the prisoner),
- a CB on another ruler to give over a prisoner/courtier (e.g. useful when one of your pesky courtiers escapes the arrest and flees to a foreign court),
- a plot to arrest your vassal with no relationship penalty (similar to revocation plot; your plot supporters represent you fabricating evidence/getting the "court of peers" to agree to the imprisonment demand),
- a plot to free a prisoner,
- a plot to petition the liege to free a prisoner,
- a plot to kidnap someone in a foreign court (with a relationship malus),
- a plot to petition the liege to imprison someone,
etc.

+1

If some Sultan refuses to give me back my son, I should be able to storm his lands Robb Start style and try to free him. Hopefully, with more success.

I like a lot of the suggestions in your list but these two are my favorite. They seem like very simple additions that would expand the plot system greatly. Having the ability to trump up charges against an enemy seems like a no brainer.

A Pope DLC would render him impotent as the lords below him.

The Puppeteer should remain immune to conditions and restrictions.

Say "NO" to a Pope DLC!!! For goodness sakes...

Generally whatever it takes to have the same options when we are vassals which AI does when we are liege:

– petition to release a prisoner
– petition to give a county which is in our de iure duchy (and maybe barony in a de iure county?)
– petition to transfer a direct vassal who should de iure serve our character rather than the higher liege directly

etc.

perhaps it will be announced friday with a Developer diary next wednesday? Either way ihope it's either gonna let us start in the 900's and play as pagans or improve catholicism with a more fleshed out papal system as proposed, and flavour for the Holy Roman Empire.

Argh spoiler... not everyone have read the books, and the series isnt that far in the storyline yet...

Huh? But him trying to free his father is in the first season of the show, and presumably it's not intended as an exact example since the wiki doesn't list him having a son?

Regardless you shouldnt spoil no matter how old the movie/series/book are.

I think he was referring to Robb's original reason for starting the war not the......series of unfortunate events.

Did you know that in Lord of the Rings, the ring is...wait wait, don't want to spoil.

Leaving aside that his 'spoiler' is not exact, in book 1 and not a significant plot point, most people view books that have been out for 10 years as not needing spoiler protection. Some leeway can be allowed due to the TV series (as in don't spoil book 3 (part 1) onward), but again, if you haven't watched series 1 by now, you do realise its been 2 years since its been out?

Indeed, did you know that in Fight Club Tyler is... oh wait. The ending of that movie actually got spoiled to me, and i was pissed, even if it was an old movie. If you wanna spoil important twists and plots in older movies be my guest, but at least make a warning before you do it. Anyways, lets get back on topic, shall we?

the pope neeeds a over haul and tweek even if he stays a npc

I'd say all of those are far higher on my list than a playable Pope, as they bring a lot more to potential gameplay than:

"King Whoever wants his excommunication lifted? Yes or no?"
"Some duke throws money at you for more piety"
"Some duke throws money at you for more piety"
"King Whoever still wants that excommunication lifted. Yes or no?"
"Sorry, decade until you can call for a new Crusade!"
"Some duke throws money at you for more piety"
"The Count of Orvietto has started the Independence Faction. It has 2.8% power, lolpoorbastard"
"Some duke throws money at you for more piety"
"You've lifted King Whoever's excommunication!"
"Duke Whatsit wants King Whoever excommunicated. Yes or no?"

It's, literally, one character (that PI has said before will never be playable, though I'm sure that isn't set in stone given the right ideas). I don't find the idea of granting nonstop divorces, papal indulgences, and tossing out the occasional excommunication to be super compelling gameplay, and its stuff that you'd have to deal with as a player Pope as all those events HAVE to go through your character. I can just see some snarky jackass now choosing to play the Pope in MP, and it taking 10 hours to get to 1067 as he keeps having to pause to deal with the silly amount of events thrown his way.
