Most likely as with EUIV national idea sets they will be granted free with the DLC patch and then the DLC adds related features. Scandinavia DLC for example that fleshes out the scandie countries and adds events, units, and stuff the National focus trees would be free the rest and related stuff wouldn't.

Thats my assumption, pdx's DLC policy overall is very good, and fair so I don't expect them to screw with us like that.

That is what i mean.

I would assume that as far as game code, the Panzer II and Panzer 38 are basically the same, though they were quite different in reality.
You have the model system and the companies which effects the stats of the tanks. Doctrines also have effects on your equipments performance.

If Germany takes the Czechs as part of their NF then could they also receive a bunch of P35T and P38Ts please.

Just a one off amount that can be interrogated into Germany's divisions just like lend lease.

Or perhaps Germany could be awarded another tank slot to produce them if the player sees fit. As no technical advantage can be given for game play this would mean they would have to run along side the Panzer II and would basically be just flavour. But flavour is one of the reasons we play these games and it answers the question so many are asking about those 'lost' Czech tanks that Germany had so many in the early years.

Historically the Germans acquired 244 Pz35(t) when they occupied the Czechs. Although the design of the Pz38(t) had been completed and a number ordered by the Czechs, none had entered service in March 1939. Thus all production of Pz38(t)'s was undertaken by Germany using Czech factories and the player should not get any of them upon annexation unless the Czechs have started production earlier in game or the annexation comes later than historically. The Slovaks acquired 52 Pz35's of them when they declared independence, so the split between Germany and Slovakia for Czech equipment upon annexation could be 82.5% - 17.5%.

While the Pz35(t) could be considered a rough equivalent of the Pz II, the Pz38(t) was better. It's been a long time since I've seen anything from the devs about experience upgrades to tanks, but I think there are 2 ways to go about adding Pz 38's to the game. Firstly they could be the experience upgrade to the Pz II light tank. The only problem with this is that the Pz II chassis remained in production until 1944, and if the Pz38 is just an improved Pz II the small loss of production efficiency in changing would mean that it would stop being produced quite early in favour of the Pz38. The other alternative is to rework the tank tech tree to add another light tank model between the Pz II (designed 1934) and the Leopard (designed 1942), and for the German tree to call that model the Pz38(t).

If it is a NF surely we can just add perhaps 10xp so that you get a couples of changes to your light tank, or save up for something else.

A very good response, thanks, enjoyed reading it. I would vote for everything you've said!

They could receive Czechs divisions instead of equipment and event that will take some manpower for balance to getting new divisions

well, which divisions ? who will be in them ? geting equipment is easy, but you need time to have trained crew to handle them, and dosnt matter if they are rifles, tanks or planes.

and for op, yes i agree germans should get them, but in 39 when they form protectorate (so no at munich), and they should get blueprint for PZ38 to be able to produce it, after all, it was favorite light tank in german army. way more loved than medicore pz2 or just joking pz1. and it was longest produced light tank of german army, with his carriage chosen to be onlyest universal platform for all future light platforms. yes, it was in 45, to late for this type of rationalization.

All noted. This thread is about receiving Czech tanks as part of the NF unique to Germany. So it could be done quite easily - Annex Czechs and get 500 tanks for example. (I know the Germans got many more). Basically enough to fill 2 Panzer divisions would be about right.

actaly, they get LESS tanks, but they get a lot of them under completition at assembly lines. They get many of them during occupation fresh from assembly line.
