Probably. Supersecret is for a fact a new franchise. The other imminent game is probably HoI4 (though this is far from sure). The third project, which is very early in development could be anything. There really is no info (if you do not count that _one_ leak about scifi 4x game in development)

The biggest argument for HOI4 over V3 is that V2 can support yet another expansion (it only has two) while HOI3 is getting really to old (it dates back from 2009 whereas V2 came out in 2010).

Anyway my pronostics are the following : - CK2 Secret DLC
- HOI4
- Not a PDS game sci-fi/fantasy thingy
- early secret project : either V2 expansion (bad) or V3 (good).

I'm really looking forward to see how HOI4 and V3 will turn out with the new paradox quality standards.

Podcat is lead on one of the secret games. Seeing as he's the Mister Victoria at PDS, it would be surprising if that secret game was not victoria related.
Also the project is codenamed Armstrong, and it happens that the industrialist that created the breech-loaded Armstrong cannons was kinda an important figure of the industrial era.

Could be true. I´d be very happy if it´d be the other way round (VicIII coming soon, HoI4 in early development), but it´d be ok this way too (then i may have a chance to get in the beta for VicIII )

At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if Vicky 3 came earlier (EU4-Vic3 converted anyone ). HOI4 is going to be a beast to develop, and really needs the most time to get right.

But the most important problem is that i´m still too young. XD

At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if Vicky 3 came earlier (EU4-Vic3 converted anyone ). HOI4 is going to be a beast to develop, and really needs the most time to get right.

VicIII will need even more time. The game has endless possiblitites...

The snow-walls and the boreal forest pics both have the PDS logo on them, so they need to factor into one of the PDS projects. The first one certainly doesn't fit for Vicky or HoI, and it's a stretch for it to match CKII (looks more fantasy).

Is the far-off project also going to be announced in late January? Is the one we're supposed to be expecting the short-term or long-term secret project?

1. "Supersecret" is a new full PDS game, that is not a continuation of any current title. Will be revealed in January.
2. "You-knew-we-would-make-it" is a full PDS game, that is speculated to be HOI4. Will be revealed in January.
3. Secret project no.3. This is almost totally unknown full PDS game in early development phase. Will not be revelaed in January.
4. Ck2 DLC. Revealed in????
5. next EUIV DLC. Revealed in ?????

6-X. PI stuff I'm ignorant of.

The way I understand it is that Paradox Development Studio is working on five titles: Conquest of Paradise, secret CKII expantion, two games being announced in January and one long term project that will be announced later.

Even if they've put a lot of work into it, there's always the possibility up until a certain point that it could be canceled, & people who were really looking forward to it would be devastated. Better to just wait until they are absolutely sure its going to come to fruition, & have some halfway decent alpha shots hammered out before they say anything about it.

I understand the secrecy, even though I dont like it.

I think they just want to save a little on marketing this way, and that's all there is to it.

I'm following them fairly close and have no clue at all. Speculation that pops up most often is about a Game of Thrones game and a space grand strategy, I think. Neither is compatible with the teasers on the Pdox holiday countdown (unless GoT has nonhuman whatchamacallits, I never watched/read the series).

No, there's no rat girls in GoT. And Telltale is making a new game based on the books so I don't think Paradox has the rights to it (though it would be awesome if they did).
