Next Paradox Game?

Since EUIV seems to be able to handle the Latin American Revolutions now with the new colonial mechanics I hope that in the far future we can a DLC that extends it to the Victoria startdate. Then once CKII and EUIV are towards the end of their major DLC expansions I would like a Victoria III and a converter so I can play a game straight through all three games with no problems.

That is my dream.

It would not be a copy of ck2 with roman character and army's like some presume.

If they do an expansion for Victoria 2, I hope it is one that backdates the game a bit. I would love a start date of 1800. You would get to do some early American things, like the war of 1812. You would get to go through the first French Revolution and perhaps the Napoleonic wars (if he is not an example of somebody letting their infamy score get too high and then having to fight everyone...well...).

Besides that, add me to the list of people who would pre-buy a Paradox Rome 2 game. The first game was pretty good with the Epigoni mod, but it was too buggy for me to enjoy it unfortunately. With their new game platforms, paradox could absolutely kill a classical era game right now.

From what I recall of the live stream where Johan talked about the five teams: Nobody is working on Rome 2; two teams are doing CK2/EU4 DLCs; one team is working on something pretty far off; two teams are working on stuff they'll announce at ParadoxCon or whatever it;s called. Johan said of these, one will make us very happy, and the other will make us say "well, we knew you were working on that". I seem to recall something about Vicky3 not being it, but fwiw I took the latter statement to mean HoI4 will be announced soon-ish, along with something which seems to be a new franchise. Which is very cool.

Now, imagine HoI4 being as much of an improvement as Vicky2, CK2 and EU4 over their predecessors. That makes HoI4 very cool, too.

I'm crossing my fingers CK3 will happen eventually, though if that were the case I doubt it would be quite some time yet.

You're joking right? I wouldn't consider re-purchasing Crusader Kings for a good three/four years at least with all the DLC investments I've currently made.

I bet HOI4 isn't high on the priorities with EvW coming out in just a short while (we hope). Victoria 2 is a very niche game but with the updated engine it could be done better and more appealing to different kinds of people.

Of the "big" grand strategy pi games, it has to be HoI 4. If you think about it, it is the next in the line. After HoI 3 came Victoria 2, then CK II and then EU IV. It is the turn of HoI 4
