Wiz you please read this, couple of random ideas:
1. can closing/opening of canals can be scripted into commands - perhaps we can have 2 commands please:
open_canal = { canal = canal_province_#_ID target = country )
close_canal = { canal = canal_province_#_ID target = country )
also use all sort of scopes so we can target groups of nations using regular scopes
2. perhaps use force canal open in peace negotiations - not for truce time only but for X amount of years
(some sort of trigger that can check that canal is force_open for specific target for specific time would be nice )
3. use closing/opening canal for country in diplomacy screen - just like asking for ship basing rights
4. possible to use "closed canal" in cb_types as a reason for war
5. overlord should control the canal if it's located in vassal territory
Also wiz (if you're reading this) can I send you my minimod regarding canals/straits and missions about suez and kiel canal. PM perhaps?
