With the possibility of the next expansion theme may be about transport, i've thinking about and listed everything that CO could bring to us with the expansion. Most gamers have already ask for some things, and I agree once that the transport and locomotion is the main area in a city administration. May exist mods for some of them, but I don't think it is enough.

-Train and metro/subway stations with multi-lines (independent rails and platforms for each line)
-Train station with access to metro station.
-Bus station with access to metro station.
-Harbor with access to metro station.
-Elevated train station.
-Railway with fence/wall.
-Monorail system (and several stations).
-Cable Car system.
-BRT System.
-Articulated and Bi-Articulated Buses.
-Interstate Bus Terminal (same functionality as the Airport and Harbor, bring tourists, and maybe carry a tourist group from a terminal station directly to a place).
-A Central Terminal station, that put together all the terrestrial modals: train, metro, tram, monorail, bus, touristic bus, taxi, and helicopter.
-Toll (we need money).
-Pedestrian way with 2, 3 and 4 square width, like boardwalk.
-Pedestrian way as the main access to train and metro stations (no more needed to put it directly on the street).
-Tram way on pedestrian way.
-Stairs for pedestrian way.
-Possibility to make commercial zone on pedway.
-Elevated pedway conects to a elevated road.
-A Cargo Airport.
-A Logistic center, to store over-produced goods.
-Waterbuses system/water taxi/Ferries.
-One way roads, with bus and/or bicycle lanes.
-Retaining Walls (like quays but for the Highways, streets and train way).
-More variations of bridges.
-Air Pollution.
-Lines color auto change and timetable for vehicles.

And if the transport options is the solution, the necessity of locomotion is the problem. With focus on people, to give more moviment and life to the city, its so much important that the city receive something cool like this:

-Strikes from public servants (with service break).
-Protests and public manifestations (strikes in a higher level).
-Streets parades (some thing like racing on the streets, LGBT proud parade, indepence day for example)
-Stret markets and street fairs.
-Holidays and vacations. When most people go at the same time to the same place, and/or leave the same place at the same time.. and variations according to the local.
-More functionality to Unique buildings (Like the soccer Stadium): A big place where happen the various types of events (Music Festivals -like Lollapalooza,Tomorrowland,UMF and etc-, Circus, Fairs).
-A "Sambódromo" like in Brazil.
-A Racetrack for cars, motorcycles or trucks.

This is what i want to see in the game and I hope the developers make a good job about it.
Sorry for my english ;)

They should have a parking simulation too. So we have to deal with parking problems. But that said, ther is far too many cars on the streets per inhabitant so it will be a problem.

Great DLC name idea!

If a real thing, I'd like it to at least have:
  • more road types (additional lanes)
  • train line to subway line transition ability
  • more fancy bridge types
  • merging lane road type (draw in a merging lane) :O
As a bonus:
  • CIM pleasure craft! including light planes, private helicopters (could have a new airport type for these) and boats (with fancy private harbours) these could fulfil leasure requirement of CIMs

These guys could be taking money off me hand over fist if they pumped some of these things in expansions. I only bought Snowfall for the trams and didn't bother with Natural disasters
