Religion
1. Animist is the only major religion not receiving an overhaul
2. Hinduism need more flavor and events as a religion which it severely lacks. Apart from the one where you lose chance of new heir there is basically no unique flavor. Also some new deities can be added to the existing roster.

Areas
1. Overhaul of the Balkans
2. Overhaul of the Circassian region

Country Specific Missions
1. Scandinavian nations
2. Middle East
3. Balkans and Circassia
4. Smaller Indian kingdoms
5. alternate path for Indian sultanates to change to Hindu religion and associated mission tree changes and flavor

PS: south american tribes except Inti are too insignificant for a focus for overhaul

Well regarding religion i think that Tengri and Buddhist denominations needs a look. I made a thread with some suggestions. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/tengrism-and-buddhism.1517827/

As for regions i wouldn't touch Balkans because there are more regions that need some atention like Middle East, Scandinavia or South America. Also it might not be a bad idea to rework some of the missions for certain nations like Byzantium, France, Russia and Qing.

Republics generally do have estates, only Merchant Republics and their variants (Venetian, Veche) use factions. I agree though that factions need to be significantly changed, as disabling estates is currently a much bigger demerit than the factions can make up for, both in terms of power level and interesting gameplay.

Will there still be a next dlc, or has Tinto turned entirely EUV ?
The big Humble Bundle deal certainly seems to mark the end of EU4, much as the post-Holy Fury deal did for CK2.

Looking forward to it. EU4 is my favorite video game ever, but suboptimal patches/DLC lately have sapped my interest (I still play 1.30 when I play). Time to see what a revamped EU5 can offer, and what lessons they gleaned from Imperator 2.0.

Just like it did 2 years ago, when there was a similar bundle of the game. Since then we got two DLCs and an immersion pack, but sure, it must be now they've finally put EU4 out to pasture :D

Haven't they said they can't really manage any more province additions without performance hits becoming an issue? Does make "sorting" regions out more of an issue. Almost like they should of focused on adding provinces in relevant areas tbh.

If so it would mean they are limited on their reworks which might make it harder to keep the game alive with it just being nation mechanics/existing mechanic reworks.

I wouldn't expect an EU5 until after Vic3. I believe there are 3 areas for updates which look likly to be Scandanavia/Balklands, South America, and Middle East/Circassia. There has been a definate focus on filling out the last few bits (such as religions without something special) and dev comments on all 3 need attension. Assuming they are all immersion DLCs (new mechanics always make something else less complete) they could all be done within the next year which would proably be about the right time for an EU5 announcement.

Religion:
Animist getting an overhaul seems complicated as there isn't one singular animist religion. Having animism based on culture could be interesting or using it as a base to making your own religion like in CK3 could be interesting. Hinduism is actually fine the way it is. In fact, there was once a meta for India to be a Hindu Republic because you could get a new ruler and choose a new deity with different bonuses.

Areas:
The Balkans, albeit a bit messy, shouldn't get an overhaul. Emperor did its best to combat this, but there are still some complications like how Byzantium doesn't own the province north of Constantinople or how Lovech isn't an independent nation (But that is hard to replicate so Nigbolu being a location of a Bulgarian OPM could be interesting) or how Byzantium doesn't own Lesbos or how Bogomilism isn't a religion in Bosnia. Same with Circassia; too hard to replicate. There are too many local religions, tribes and cultures that if it were to be added, Romansch in Switzerland and Italy would have to exist.

Country Specific Missions:
Scandinavian missions. This has been most asked by the community because forming it is just a downgrade. Perhaps uniting all the missions of Denmark, Norway and Sweden could be interesting or having missions to PU England/GB and ending the HRE could be interesting as well. The Middle East is fine, but having Ottoman missions is also a popular suggestion since it was one of the most influencial nations in History. Balkans did have some love in Emperor, Circassia is too obscure but having cultural based missions could be fun with the ability to form a Cossack nation or Don Kuban. Indian kingdoms are fine with generic Indian missions. Number 5 isn't needed.

Speaking of South America, it is literally too flavourless compared to north america; mainly because NA is literally hell to colonise while SA is beginners fortune.

First off all, i would say Northern Europe/Scandinavia.

Give Scandinavia some propper love, and spice up the existing mission trees. Maybe some aditional attention to the Leuge War (i would love to see a more geographicly contatined war, but with a better system of external suport). And in line with that, maybe give the Haneatic leuge some new stuff (could be a part of spiceing up merchant republics as a whole). The knightly orders (and the bishoporics) could also get some.

In second place i'd say Caucasus/Iran.

That never happened irl and alt his missions have been beyond annoying with how they screw up imperialism

How is animisit more significant than inti?

Ottoman style pack wich covers Persia, Mamluks, Ottos (obv.). Would like to also see Byzantium or maybe even Romania get a mission tree in it but the first 3 need it more since I want more chaos in the most fun region in EU4, the bordering the Ottomans region.
