Will they get in someday? In Victoria II they were a very immersive way of knowing about interesting far away events quickly. I suppose they were even more popular in the HoI4 timeframe.

yeah that would be pretty neat! could announce the victory/defeat of some big battles, but not sure if that should just belong to viccy, idk

Could also be an interesting way to work in when major nations pull off important national focuses.
Articles about the Remilitarisation of the Rhineland, major expansions of the Maginot Line, or something like that

In the Japan campaign it wasn't a newspaper, but there was an event popup for the demilitarization of the Rhineland even though it had to impact on Japan. So at the least the main national focuses that impact the world get shown to everyone it seems. Not as cool as the newspaper, but it does show the major events
