Newsletter Missing

hi guys and girls

i hope you are having a nice day/night, i write you because i am having some problems with the Newsletter; the problem is what i have not receive the May Newsletter, i didnt have this problem before (i am subscribed to the newsletter since i arrive to the forums in 2011)

some forum members advice me about the matter, suggesting the unsubscribe/resubscribe option, i do that, but i am unsure if it works, so i will appreciate if someone of the Staff can check if all is ok now.

btw, ¿anyone is having the same problem?

Do either of you have a secondary email address you could try?

Who is your primary email hoster (google, yahoo etc)

It was an hotmail address and since there were some issues sometimes with this address (for the sign-up campaigns, free game after a survey, ...), I changed both (my pdox account and the one for the newsletter). I have just received a confirmation email. So maybe, it will work, finally. Thanks for your answer.

Probably not the same problem as the OP though.


And for the OT part, I'm not sure I understand correctly. I made a mistake in my signature right ? I will change that.

My English is correct (for a French at least, we are awful with foreign languages) but I am not satisfied with it.

no I was making a poor joke, your signature is perfect. I'll see if I can get a friend to translate my poor attempt at humor and message it to you. I often pick on my heritage, which my avatar pays homage to.

the more info that people give the easier it is to try and figure out what is going on. No do not provide your email address, we can get that if there isn't any pattern.

anyways, it seems all three of you have hotmail accounts, so my suspicion is it is a filter on hotmail that is causing the issue.

two things you can try, make a rule that "noreply@paradoxplaza.com" is not blocked, and if that doesn't work, log a ticket with hotmail to get an exception put into their spam filter for that address

Doing this would imply that they have it in their spam filter. That would imply everyone with hotmail has this problem. That does not sync with how many people have reported the problem.

As for the former, it was already on my list.

I've also gotten e-mails from that address, like one telling me the last time I reset my password.

I also get this when I try to sign up to the newsletter:

(my e-mail) @hotmail.com is already subscribed to list Paradox Interactive. Click here to update your profile.



For these reasons I've suspected for some time the problem is on the PDX end and not my end.

I clicked the "click here to update your profile" and it tells me it's sent me an e-mail. It's not there yet. I'll let you know if/when it gets to me and if/when it does not

Now that I'm supposedly properly registered...

Can someone please let me know (IE post in this thread) the next time a newsletter is mailed so that I know if this worked or not.

Just wanted to say that i too have this issue. Unlike the others i use a gmail account so i doubt it's that.

Since he is getting other emails from that address, yes I would say that it has nothing to do with hotmail.

I have just received the "Paradox Forum Newsletter June 2015" so I think it's working now. Do you receive it as well ?

I did, thank you. I was hoping someone would remember. I've been fighting this issue for years. I sometimes think that people presume that if you are not complaining about something every day that you must be fine with it.

I had this issue for a long time too. Not as long as you (only one year) but I did try to ask multiple times too. So yes, I remember when you told us you were in the same boat.
