Hello all, I am having a very frustrating HRE playthrough as a Karling.
My branch of the family are Dukes of the Rhine (giving us a vote for the HREmp position) and Dukes of Bavaria. I have won some HREmp elections and lost some, all part of the fun. However, whenever another person is voted in as HREmp, he steals all of my titles, leaving my branch of the family landless! It seems to happen more often with Karlings from other cadet branches. And it is not as if the newly elected Karling doesn't have his own titles, the last one was Duke of Franconia.
For some reason when I get voted in as HREmp, it switches the Rhine and Bavaria from Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture (something I took generations in-game to get) to Elective, and since I'm the Emperor I can't set Duchy level laws directly, even if I possess them.
Is there anything that can be done about this via in-game methods? I am getting very tired of using the console to give my heir back all of the Rhine and Bavaria and then switching back to play as him.
