[Bug Report] Hi I have a bug , if you can fix it that's can be really great :)

I was playing Germany , and I win the Great War in 1917 with all the events like Traité de Versaille , Communist revolution etc ... but in 1921 , the allies declared war against Ottoman Empire ( my allie ) , and 1 day after this declaration of war , I have the event " Faillure of Summer 1918 Offensive " and all the Germany falls into chaos and become the Weimar Republic ...
This is very annoying especially when you have already won ...

Can you fix it please ?

Hey G we can look into it. We do not support CP victory yet since it will be a ton of work and I do not have the manpower to put it in which is one of my main goals. That should not happen though if Germany wins the war. Oh wait the trigger checks to see if Germany is at war and in this case it was. I will see if I can fix it maybe by changing the death date of the event. Thanks for the feedback.

PS I changed the death date of the event to January 1, 1919. That should fix the problem. You could do the same thing if you do not want to wait for the next update. Just go to the db/events/TGC events/U08 which is Imperial Germany. Then you go down to the second event which is the Failure event and change the death date and then save. I always use Notepad ++ for my editing.

In EVERY GAME Germany never does anything after losing WWI. The Kaiser never abdicates. Hitler never takes power. None of the events ever, ever fire for Germany (reoccupying Rhineland, annexing Austria, etc). Germany doesn't even seem to build anything. I'm not sure what's going on. I even selected the option that said WW2 can start as early as 1933. The events for countries like Italy seem to fire off just fine (they invaded Ethiopia). I'm headed into 1937 on yet another file and Germany still isn't doing anything. I might just have to cheat and declare war on them and then have the Italians join up just to get a decent war going.

What should I do?

Make sure you installed correctly then select historical events when the window pops up.

What should I do?

Hey Jack do you have the latest version of the mod from the first post on page 1? What is your checksum in the upper right corner after you load up the mod? Did you do the hotfix by removing the second copy of the Poland events file? Is this all on a copy of DH 1.04 final? Do you only have one scenario to play when the mod is loaded up?
Nobody has ever reported anything like this happening and we have had many thousands of downloads of the mod. If you can say yes to all of these questions then you may have a bad download. If you got it from the Mega link please try the Media Fire link or vice versa. You did not put this on top of a copy of DH Full did you? These are all of the common problems. Please check post one on page one of the thread it has the install information. Then let me know the answers to all of these questions. Thanks.

Where can i find a massive "Read me" file that gives details on all trigers/events?

Or at least some in depth explanations on what those "force" options do

Force historical WW1 end After signing the treaty of versailles the map is nothing close to being historical. Does the force part comes in 1920 not at the peace conference? Details below
Force everything. Define everything.



1. Start a game as Germany.
2. Pick "force historical WW1 end"
3. I manage to lose by early 1918 and the end is nothing close to being historical
3.1 Transylvania may or may not be given to Romania.
3.2 Bassarabia is given to Romania only in very specific circumstances. Austria-hungary needs to capture it from Russia, then when Russia (the revolution must trigger) wants peace Bassarabia needs to stay with Austria-hungary. Now romania needs to force a peace to get bassarabia and hope that the treaty of versailles gives Transylvania too. (which usually won't happen).
After versailles the newly created Hungary auto-gets the entire transylvania. (<- which is not historical).
3.3 If austria-hungary never makes a separated peace with romania Bassarabia goes straight to russia.
3.4 The only way to get a historical romania is to play as romania.
4. Poland may or may not be created.
4.1 Poland can get Ukraine as a puppet state (!!!)
5. After sending Lenin back to russia i receive a "hey let's make peace" event and both options will just continue the war.
6. Was at peace with everyone else. Saved the game and jumped in as Russia. Russia was at war with germany, even though while playing as germany i already signed the peace treaty.

Well those force option events were written by a fellow from Argentina who is no longer with us. The basic idea is to try and help historical events to fire. The peace treaties are from vanilla with a few exceptions like Ukraine and White Russia which are historical but not in vanilla. What do you mean nothing is close to being historical?
The events do not always work 100 % of the time. We all know how the war went, you might as well just watch a movie. Just how many times did you try the mod and get a not historical result? Again not 100%. The big Hungary things is always fixed by Romania taking the right parts in a peace. Are you Romanian? You sure seem to care a lot about it. So it may turn out ok. Good enough for me. Poland may or may not be created. More than 9 times out of 10 it is and Ukraine did fight with Poland vs the Sovs. What we have is an attempt at showing that. The war almost always ends up with Germany losing and Poland, Finland the Czechs etc. coming into existence.
There is no big read me file. You may feel free to look at everything and write one for us. Always test all submissions before sending them in. You really know how to make friends and influence people with your very first post. If you do not like our mod please feel free to make your own if you have the skills and a few years of free time. As always thanks for the feedback.

If you want an ahistorical Russia you cannot complain that other results are also ahistorical. Ahistorical outcomes are not (yet) supported by this mod. It takes time and manpower to create all the events for a myriad of possible outcomes. Unfortunately no modder is currently available who is willing to tackle this monstrous task.

I am actually in progress at the moment on connecting a White Russia to the historical WW2 event series. If you're all interested I can post what I have already; it's good enough to get you through the interwar period into conflict with Nazi Germany already.

I don't want an ahistorical Russia....Never said anything about it. And either way, WW1 Romania had nothing to do with Russia.

Started 2 games as canada and just watched WW1 unfold.

First game - Historical WW1 end
Second game - Historical WW1

Right now i'm on the Historical WW1 save and

1. Romania never joined WW1. They just stood there being neutral.
2. Versailles treaty gave Bassarabia to romania and Transylvania to Austria. (which quickly became Hungary).
3. Soviet Hungary did declare war on Romania, but since Hungary had more land, more manpower, etc the peace between the 2 countries was a white peace. Transylvania is still owned by Hungary.


I looked through the mod files and some events required for a historical Romania are there. They just won't trigger.


This is what should happen on a Historical WW1:

1. Romania joins the war in 1916. (it never did join on my play throughs)
2. Shortly after the Soviet union makes peace Germany and Austria-Ungaria make peace with Romania.

2.1. This peace treaty gives Bassarabia to Romania, and Germany+Austria-Hungary takes the southern part. That was the richest oil region west of the Black sea.
3. Shortly after the war ends Romania gets the Proclamation of Union event. This gives Transylvania. (<- could be grouped up with the versailles event)
4. Because of point 3 Hungary declared war on Romania. (1920) (and it even makes sense, right now in my playthrough Hungary has the land but still declared war)
5. The war ends with a white peace and a new Hungarian government.

So no, even if you pick Historical WW1 or Historical WW1 end Romania isn't historical. I get it, nobody cares about such a insignificant country.

Without a historical romania:
1. Little Entente is pointless as it was an alliance made to prevent Hungary from expanding.
2. Second Vienna award makes no sense.


I'll show myself out, it seems that i'm supposed to make my own mod if i dare to point out some historical inaccuracies.

Sorry if I misinterpreted this.

Even three playthroughs aren´t really a lot. The recommanded setup is "force everything" unless you are prepared for some weird results.

BTW ROM joins the Entente if CP isn´t too powerfull. If all goes the historical way, then there´s an event (which you could have looked up), which will give Bessarabia to ROM. Additonally HUN will turn communist and be DOWed by ROM. Usually HUN has too much dissent to win the war, resulting in ROM getting the regions you mentioned.

I don't want an ahistorical Russia....Never said anything about it. And either way, WW1 Romania had nothing to do with Russia.

Started 2 games as canada and just watched WW1 unfold.

First game - Historical WW1 end
Second game - Historical WW1

Right now i'm on the Historical WW1 save and

1. Romania never joined WW1. They just stood there being neutral.
2. Versailles treaty gave Bassarabia to romania and Transylvania to Austria. (which quickly became Hungary).
3. Soviet Hungary did declare war on Romania, but since Hungary had more land, more manpower, etc the peace between the 2 countries was a white peace. Transylvania is still owned by Hungary.


I looked through the mod files and some events required for a historical Romania are there. They just won't trigger.


This is what should happen on a Historical WW1:

1. Romania joins the war in 1916. (it never did join on my play throughs)
2. Shortly after the Soviet union makes peace Germany and Austria-Ungaria make peace with Romania.

2.1. This peace treaty gives Bassarabia to Romania, and Germany+Austria-Hungary takes the southern part. That was the richest oil region west of the Black sea.
3. Shortly after the war ends Romania gets the Proclamation of Union event. This gives Transylvania. (<- could be grouped up with the versailles event)
4. Because of point 3 Hungary declared war on Romania. (1920) (and it even makes sense, right now in my playthrough Hungary has the land but still declared war)
5. The war ends with a white peace and a new Hungarian government.

So no, even if you pick Historical WW1 or Historical WW1 end Romania isn't historical. I get it, nobody cares about such a insignificant country.

Without a historical romania:
1. Little Entente is pointless as it was an alliance made to prevent Hungary from expanding.
2. Second Vienna award makes no sense.


I'll show myself out, it seems that i'm supposed to make my own mod if i dare to point out some historical inaccuracies.
Well, usually the Germans focus all of their efforts on Russia, occasionally Romania does join the war and if they lose they lose all of Dobruja to Bulgaria and in exchange they gain Bessarabia when the Soviets sign Brest-Livtovsk, if Romania doesn't join the War the Outcome of the Great War (historical) occurs for Austria which seceeds Bessarabia to Romania and The Odessa region to the Ukrainians, well I would know as I put the historical Ukraine and Belarus into the Treaty of Versailles harsh and Normal Conditions. The Treaty of Trianon which occurs in 1920 gives Transylvania to the Romanians as Versailles only dealt with Germany.

Nice, although you should test the events to make sure they work in a normal game setting before you try anything risky as I have experienced it once.
