my Q is simple - if Germany wins, does it have some sort of follow up scenario or like the prev version I can just sit and watch the world go by?:)

Hey C you can continue to play. Many of the events will work fine. Germany will probably get a ton of dissent. You can get Hitler or not, you can even go commie. We just do not have any new events for a CP victory yet. You are welcome to help us come up with some.

No I there are no plans for that since Peace Without Victory used to be this mod when Ericafaq left us to do his own thing. We just had different visions of how the mod should go.

Ok. Thanks for explaining. Really the only feature of that mod that I would like to see in The Grand Campaign is the expanded list of minister traits. Also, since you're working on converting the mod to the E3 map, are there any plans on bringing in the Turning Point mod to complete the NWO portion of the mod? Or will you be working on that era independent of the TurningPoint mod?

Hey I we will be doing our own thing and in fact we have a ton of minister traits. If you use the higher debug levels you can see them in the debug as they load. There are a bunch of them.

I found a bug. When I went over the post-WW1 force limits for infantry, it makes me choose two choices. I went with the automatically deactivating unit choice. What that did, was lock out access from me making new land divisions. When I reloaded the save, it only let me make Militia. This was while playing Italy (50 land unit forcelimit) in the 1920s btw. I haven't tested out what the other choice does.

There are some problems with using turining point. The game have many diferences. Is more posible, add 1914 mod events with a techtree revision. Actualy im working on excels, in my short time for modding for economy. Other problem with tags, if we add 1914 and newest version of NWO2, will be only 4 unused tags if i dont mistake and the turnig use all the list, thats make it extremly complex.

Jeem the restriction is a complicated system. Posible in future it would change for something a bit more simple, but they are still ideas on the scrach. Posible we will never build a good system becose to dont drop down the performance to the floor should be necesary do it for the game code.

Hi guys,

I have a serious problem that prevents me from playing TGC. Here's what's happening

Basically, I have the same issue as slobodan had mentioned a couple posts earlier. My game freezes while loading and nothing helps except ctrl-alt-del and I don't get any error message. I have non-steam clean version patched to 1.04. The checksum of my DH Full is VYJS (might this be where the problem lies?) and of TGC it's the same as slobodan's, HXHI. I tried multiple downloads from both links (5 downloads in total), that didn't help. I also used Winrar to unpack the folder.

Any help would be much appreciated. I love DH to bits and really, really want to try TGC out :( Is anybody able to at least point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hey J that is WAD. You can only have 50 land units during the interwar period. The force limit events are to make sure that you do not exceed the limit. Japan cheats on this and used to have 32 carriers by the end of the period even though they sign the Washington naval limit treaty. So we have extra events for Japan and the Sovs. I think if you pick the second choice the PC deletes the excess units for you but does not take them out of the build options. The limits will end in 32 or so and you will get an event saying so. It varies by gov type and whether or not you sign the Naval treaty. There are seperate limits for IC, land, air and naval units. This is there to keep you from building an unrealistic number of units and IC interwar. The Sovs used to get 1000 IC and 1000 land units. Italy can still have a 100 land units and a ton of planes by 1939. They should also have 100 IC or so too. All countries have these limits and there are mp limits too.

OK R do you have a clean version of DH 1.04? I mean is it vanilla without any mods to DH itself. There is a thread with the correct checksum for it. The first post of this thread has the latest version of the mod. You just download it and unzip it into the mods folder. Before you do that your pull down menu for DH should have DH Full and DH light as the two mod options. You do not copy DH Full for this mod unlike many others. The fact that your check sum is wrong concerns me. Your DH Full should be FGYE checksum. Your checksum for the mod should be LPEG. If you used the download from Mega or Mediafire you might want to try the other one if possible. I really do not think the unzip program really matters. That is about all I can think of. First make sure the DH Full checksum is right. Please let me know how it goes.

Hi delanonne,

yes, I have a clean version, no mods installed. I tried downloading from both links already. I agree with you in that getting the correct checksum on DH Full is probably critical here. I am not sure how to get to FGYE though. I downloaded my 1.04 RC1 patch from here

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/darkest-hour-patch-1-04-rc1.833443/

where they say the correct checksum for DH Full should be HVLQ. Do you think it might have got something to do with the patch?

To get the proper checksum you need to update to 1.04 (not 1.04 RC1) You can get it here.

Hey all here is the latest fixes courtesy of Simon150999. I guess you could call this the SWIP(Swedish Improvement Project) It fixes techs, ministers, setup and events for Sweden. It also gives you options to join the CP. Be careful what you do with those events cause you could be forced into the war. I am having a great time being in the CP and fighting the Russians who almost wiped out my fleet. I am slowly taking out the Finland and Murmansk parts of Russia. The only problem is that the Germans are kinda programmed to lose the war at this point since we have not added CP victory events yet. So just download and unzip somewhere and then open the folders and put in the files for Sweden and overwrite when given the option. The checksum should not change so it should be LPEG without the Audessy fixes and OZEG with those fixes. Enjoy, I know I am.

Hi folks, me again :)

I'm playing USA, the date is now Nov 26 1917. I noticed one thing the AI is doing and it's quite weird

For some reason, the Entente has concentrated well over 45 divisions in Egypt on the borders with Senussi who only have 3 divisions. The Senussi are a puppet of Italy at this point.
At the same time, the Entente is struggling to keep the Centrals from advancing on the western front so it would seem logical to concentrate the divisions there. Is this normal behaviour?
upload_2016-3-17_20-51-22.png

Secondly, why does the IC allocation and trade tab have black background? Is there a way to change it?
upload_2016-3-17_20-53-3.png

Thanks and Sorry for the long post :)

Hey R that is weird. I have never noticed it before. The Entente almost always wins so I would not worry about it too much unless the Germans win the war. As far as the background color I am not sure how to change it. We have never messed with it as far as I know. K might know but he is busy with the E3 map version. If anyone knows the answer could you please put in your two cents here? I hope you are finally having fun with the mod. I still do after all these years playing HOI the first version of the game way back in the early 2000's.
