Changing the map is alot of work. I still have a test build of the tgc e3 map somewhere but it was only about 60% complete and a royal pita to do but I would never say never on anything.

Hello, Delannone. I just installed the latest versions of DH and TGC and am enjoying playing them. I've noticed a small glitch, though, while playing the Soviet Union in the Oman '18 saved game. So far, although I've completed the research for the anti-tank tech both for 1935 and 1938, AT isn't appearing in the menu of attachments for ground forces. Has anyone else mentioned that?

In DH vanilla as well as in most mods all guns are represented by ART, there´s no seperate AT attachment. This means researching AT techs will increase hard attack values of ART.

Thanks for your quick and helpful reply, Blecky. I guess I was thinking of Kaiserreich, where AT is a separate attachment. It's been a while since I've played TGC....

Anyone find that UK doesn't do anything in the Great War, at least in Europe? I'm playing as Italy. Its' 1917. UK defeated Ottomans pretty quick. But we're stalemated in Austrian alps. Russia's gone. The Germans are pushing the French back and it's looking like disaster is at hand. The US is slow to mobilize but the UK has dozens of divisions just hanging out on the border with the Senussi, who are my puppet. Why won't they send these divisions to the Western Front? Is there some kind of event or AI tweak you can make that makes them prioritize this like they did historically? Same for US. I suspect to see the same issue, where they just have 100 divisions hanging out in Washington in 1918.

Sometimes it helps to just save, quit and reload the game. It seems the AI reevaluates its alternatives and starts transferring troops, but sometimes still nothing happens.

Hello guys! Some questions I didn't find answered in the OP:

1) Is the mod compatible with the latest version of DH?

2) Can you actually go all the way to 1991? I recall vanilla DH limited the 1914 scenario somehow.

3) Any country suggestions for absolute newbies? I am quite used to HOI4 but haven't played Darkest Hour for many, many years.

1 - Yes
2 - Yep, but I think leaders and ministers for a lot of countries disappear in the 1960s while other live on into the 1990s. Decisions and events past the 60s can be slim.
3 - I'd avoid playing as Japan if you want to fight in China. There's a weird forced victory event in which your army teleports back to Tokyo if you're too successful in China and leaving you with no territories. You'll end up rage quitting. That said, playing as Russia is a fun challenge, Greece is actually fun, Argentina, Spain, and Italy are all good.

Keep in mind the, the 1.05 patch kind of messed up WW1 which leads to ahistorical outcomes in which WW2 will never happen.

Hi.
I have a little problem. I have the latest Steam version of DH and TGC as well. I started game as Czechoslovakia from 1918 save, but some event options are simply black. You can't read them only effect shows. Which is even more strange, because some events working normaly for example Assassination attempt on Kramář. Well except from diacritics. :)
Do somebody know how to solve this problem?

Yeah, it's a known graphics issue not only for this mod but for some other mods too. I think it only happens when the events have a lot of text along with an image like that one.

Hello,

I finally tried the mod and really like it but I couldn't get Hitler to take power on my first playthrough.

- Handsoff run with Dominican Republic up till 1920 with historical WW1 outcome.

- I then switched to Germany. I got the beer hall putsch event, Hitler arrested then released, Hindenburg as Head of state but nothing else. The gov't became "fascist" or "national socialist" on the slider tab. It's now 1938. I'm wondering what I did wrong.

EDIT: Did some more search and found the answer from this post. It seems I have to try to stay as a democracy until the election event and not go ‘fascist’ early via slider.

EDIT2: The other trigger for the 1932/33 election event also requires you to be not at war. See the "TGC-U08-Minister-Changes" file for Germany.

Well, keeping yourself social conservative or paternal autocracy is the way to go if you aim for a historical inter-war.
However, that is no reason not to begin rearming sooner. Aim to move the slide as much as possible on free market. The big crash is likely going to hurt you, but if you try to stockpile on cash before that, you should be fine.

Hello,
I searched but the pages are too many and in the home of the topic I don't find the information related to the mod that interests me, I would have some questions:
1) Any problems installing it on the DH 1.05 version?
If yes, which ones?
2) In this mod it is possible to create brigades of naval torpedoes or for submarines independently from the ship? ... I cannot even create brigades of seaplanes (for ships) individually, it allows me to do it only if I also create the ship, but it takes years like this, it's frustrating ... how do you do it?
Thank you.

1) Installing should not be a problem with the latest version of 1.05.1 including hotfix.

2) You can create ship brigades independently (esp. seaplanes). You have to scroll down the list of available brigades (sorry if I´m mentioning the obvious). Same is true for torpedoes on submarines. BTW which nation are you playing?

In the brigades list, in production, there are no torpedoes .... this is the problem, I developed them but they do not appear ... I also have a ship with torpedo launchers already produced.

However I am playing with Italy ... it is very difficult, there is a considerable industrial gap and a productivity that is impossible to compare with the leading alliance countries.

I installed the mod, in Italian there are several translations missing, some sporadic errors in the saved games, but apart from that, it works well .... overlooking the fact that Germany taking advantage of the unrest in my country has appropriated Rome and set up a "puppet Italian government alliance" taking 75% of my best divisions and 90% of the ever navy, painstakingly built in the previous 15 years ... now I find myself in a fascist "Italian" state with another state inside " italy union "without resources and without being able to do anything .... incredible!

I loaded up both the English and Italian version. The early torpedoes and seaplanes (Curtiss Model FP-1) are available in the 'Brigade attachment' list at the very start of the 1914 campaign for Italy in this mod. After production completion, check the deployment forcepool list and that 'auto assign naval attachments' isn't checked.

Also note some ships cannot have certain naval attachments until the right tech is researched, and that brigades can be created independently but not deployed ingame without attaching it to a unit.
