Hey there!
I'm playing as Japan and is currently gearing up for war with China, and suddenly I get an event which forces me do disband transport ships. I recently came back to hoi2, so I don't really know if the transport limit is from DH or this mod.
Why is there suck a limit, is it increased later and/or can I get around it somehow?

EDIT: Also, slightly unrelated.
Imperial Russia annexed Germany in 1921. Since then they put ALL their divisions in Vladivostok, on my border, ca 300... At some point I loaded the game as them and broke the Alliance with the entente, hoping they would move some of those divisions. Now, in 1930, Britain surprisingly declared war on Russia, and immediatly those 300 divisions where strategically relocated.
Only, they reappeared again one month later in Vladivostok. They sent 10 divisions to the completely undefended Germany where France was living their dream. I was, of course, hoping to daclare war on Russia, but that's not going to happen it seems…
Does anyone know why Russia acts like this?

Hey SP the limit I believe is from the mod. It is historic. After WW1 very few countries built a lot of transport ships. The limit will go away for Japan in time to build more of them. I have never had a problem with transports as Japan and I like to invade the US in the 30s asap. The only problem is range so I tech rush the transports and also get the range extending techs asap. As far as Russia surviving WW1 it is a pretty rare thing. In fact we have no events for a Russia surviving WW1. You can play it but no extra events have been added. Since it is so rare you may be the first one to ever complain about their behavior after the Great War. I do not think that the Russian AI will have much desire to dow Japan since they were allies in the war. Again I am not real sure but without updates to the postwar AI they will probably treat you like an ally. Please let me know how it goes. I know the Sov AI likes to dow Japan.

I am having very close to this same problem, the available scenarios don't crash, but there is no TGC scenario listed.

Hey L the mod is for 1.051 not 1.05. When you select TGC from the pull down menu in the launcher there is just one 1914 start date for the mod. You might want to try to use a zip program like winrar and put the unzipped file into the mods folder and then say unrar here. You should end up with the tgc folder and as said before not a folder within a folder. If there is no TGC mod listed in the pull down menu then it was not installed correctly. You should have DH light, DH Full and TGC. You select TGC and then launch. The mod should launch and you should have a checksum of MUZQ in the upper right hand corner of the screen. But it looks like you need to run the 1.051 update first. It may be ok if you just run it and then try to run the mod. Please let me know how it goes.

Yeah, I could build more transports later. It was annoying at the time but that's probably jsut because I wasn't expecting it. Is there an event or notice when you can build more? If so I missed it, but it would be a nice thing to know ingame.

The russians slowly moved more and more divisions to the west, and when I felt comfortable with the size of the Vladivostok garrison I declared war on them (A precaution, of course). So after a couple years of slogging across Siberia they were crushed between me and the westerners. Shortly before anyone could demand annexation Britain agreed to a regular peace, giving France half of Germany. By the time the russians were pumping out divisions again, my armies were stretched too thin to face them so I forced a peace deal giving me Siberia. After that they haven't really done anything. But they still concentrate most if not all divisions in one place instead of guarding their borders.

Also, at some point I got an event forcing me to release Mengkukuo (or whatever it's called, Inner Mongolia) as a puppet. In the decisions before that I had always taken all the conquered regions for myself, so I was a little bit miffed about having them forced on me. And since I had Siberia and Mongolia by that time, Meng got all of Mongolia plus a bit more, quite a large area.

After few weeks spent lacking a proper internet connection, I've managed to finish a special treat for those who wish to see a German Ahistorical change regarding the Weimar period and beyond:
- Elections have been reworked to include the two/three best parties in that current years with their proper candidates;
- Querzfort route is now available for those willing to follow the years of disaster and turn Germany into a military dictatorship under Schleicher and Strasser (No event has been copied by the french Mod33) and reach a new post-interwar era.

Sounds intriguing. I'm glad this mod is still being updated with new events.

Hey all I am back but have not been able to log in for some weird reason. When I try to click the log in button I get the red circle with a red diagonal stripe meaning I cannot do that. I have tried many times and had the same problem in China. I thought it was the gov there but since I had it here also I guess it is from Paradox. So I hope I can try and do some updates and release a new version. I of course need to be able to log in to do that. Has anyone else seen this happen? I have never seen it before. It never remembers me either even though I always click remember me. Anyway I am still here and want to get some improvements or fixes put in for a new version.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback. I agree it is very annoying to not be able to login and I guess you have to mess around to get it to work. I have never bought anything from an add of theirs so they are wasting their time with me. It was a big mess when we got back. All three of my cars were not working, my solar system was not working. I have one car working now and the solar system is up. Hopefully I can find time to try and catch up. I have to figure out where I left off. You would think that I have a lot of time since I am retired but, reality does not seem to work that. Living off grid is bit harder but much cheaper. I only pay for internet and my cell phone. No money for electric, water or garbage. A bit for gas for the generator if the son is being naughty. I really like it. I will let you know when I start to get things figured out an come up with a plan.

That sounds awesome. Don't you live in Hawaii?

Let me know if you need any help with the mod or need me to playtest something. Sadly, I haven't been able to fully fix the CWTT. It's the new models TNG introduced that's throwing off the CWTT compatibility with this mod. TBH, I can tolerate the CWTT the way it is now.

How do you release a puppet? I can't find anything in the Diplomatic tab that allows it. Also, is it possible to eject a country from your alliance? If so, how?

Both are found in the diplomacy screen. You have to scroll down through your options. Kicking out should read "Ban from alliance"

Next question: I'm playing Germany, and decisively won the First World War. I noticed that the pool of generals never changed, with Hindenburg, Ludendorff, and the gang continuing to lead my armies into the 1940s, with no new generals coming up the ranks. I thought this was unfortunate, both for flavor and because it meant that I never got any Panzer Leaders and the Air Commanders remained very few and almost totally unskilled, but it wasn't a big deal. It did look as if countries that weren't a part of the Central Powers were updating their generals, just not my side. I don't know whether that's a function of being Germany and Austria-Hungary, or whether it happens to whichever countries are human controlled.

Then, on 1 January, 1960, all of my military leaders retired and no one replaced them. It's kind of hard to run a war with no generals. Fortunately, I have France and Russia as puppets, and they still have officer corps, so, as long as I include some of their units in every attack, I have someone in charge, but it's a real pain.

Edited to Add: It looks like the German leaders are being pulled from the file U08 in the Mods/TGC 4-19-2018/db/leaders folder, rather than the german file, and only the World War One leaders are in that file. The same thing appears to be true of Austria-Hungary (U09) but not the Allied countries. Maybe the solution is to add the leaders from the german file to U08 and austria to U09?
