Hello delanonne,
I have updated to 1.05.1.
The problem of multiple scenarios still persists and will crash if i load one of them.
Thanks for your help,
Daniel

Hey D the checksum thing bothers me. If you look at the tech support thread it mentions the correct checksums for the various versions of DH. If they are not correct then that may be a problem for the mod. We have had thousands and thousands of downloads literally of the mod and nobody has had this problem that I can remember. It kinda irks me to not be able to fix it.

It is a very good mod. I always enjoy playing it. But the new version (9 april 2018) made the mod really unbalanced. I did 9 tries, 5 tries with force everything and always Germany wins WW1. At first it looks kinda historical. Germany usually defeats Russia in the spring-summer of 1917 but then sends all the troops to west and makes the French to capitulate really fast. I suggest to add an event called "The Garrison of the Eastern Gains" that deletes 50 German divisions once Russia capitulated and Ukraine, Belarus and the Baltic States had been taken.

Is it me or is it when I hit force everything button Germany always wins ww1?

OK guys that seems a little strange to me. I have not found Germany winning ww1 every time. Besides, I included a save game where the outcome is historic. So if you want Germany to lose for sure just use the save game. It was working perfectly with 1.05 and the hotfix messed things up again. I did a lot of work to get it so that Germany does not win every time. I hope this helps.

Yeah, that save is top notch.
A lot of fun to play with Germany and see all those troops trying to get home, just so you can see them demobilized and then have to make do with all the revolts...

As I said in the past few posts, Germany focus first on obliterating Russia. Some troops arent even able to reach some belgian provinces but Germany reaches Moscow quite quickly..

In 1927 when King Ferdinand of Romania dies (he had taken power from Carol I in 1914) King Michael I takes power, which is historically, but after some months, in 1928-1929 he disappeares and Carol I becomes head of state( even if he died 14-15 years ago) and continues to be king in the 1930s, when Carol the second should have been king (8 june 1930-6 september 1940). There shouldn't be this issue where Carol I becomes head of state and I suggest there should be an event on 8 june of 1930, when Carol II takes power. Sorry for bad english.

Asking again because really did not get answer. Sorry if this is stupid question but I found historicity options at start of game confusing (not really told what all it affects)

If I want to play game that WW1 starts like it historically did but that I can affect into outcome myself. Like playing Russia and maybe manage to win war and prevent revolution. What options I should choose?

@delanonne do you think Nihao will work in China? I really don't want to register for various file sharing sites only to find out they don't work. I usually just use Google drive or Drop Box, which I know do not work over there.

Hey P thanks. I signed up for the site. OK so now how do we proceed? Should we do this over a PM? I guess I need to give you my account information. Yes the GFW is something else.

PS I think you should send the patch unzipped if you can. Tera B. sent it zipped and something went wrong.

Hey TB I am in China now and am trying to get my DH updated to 1.051. If that happens I will be able to make changes to the mod and test them. If you want to make the event and test it to make sure it works then I would be happy to add it to the mod when I have a working version.

Hey J I always select force everything. All that does is get the mod to try and go historic. You can play anyway you want to. If you do not force everything then non-historic things can happen which is fine also. It is up to you. With this mod you never really know what is going to happen. That is a good thing. We already know how the wars played out in real time. Doing the same thing all of the time is not very interesting after a while. I have been playing this mod since it was new in 2011 and I am still not tired of it. We continue to try and make it better.

The Russian Revolution it's triggered by the dissent level (between 1914 and 1915 if your dissent level it's 30, in 1916 if your dissent level it's 25 and 1917 if your dissent level it's 16). You have high dissent if your core cities fall to the Germans (Warsaw, Kiev, Riga, etc).
The time that I played with Russians and won WW1 without revolution I used a defensive tactic:
  1. - Leave Poland.
  2. - Set all units on a defensive line between Poland and Belarus/Ukraine.
  3. - Focus your offensive operations on the Ottomans and try to get them out of the war earlier, just before Bulgaria joins the CP to avoid the Germans to send troops to the Ottos.
  4. - MOST IMPORTANT THING: Invest on consumer goods to reduce dissent. Don't care about modernizations, focus firstly on consumer goods, then replacements for units and finally production units.
  5. - Build a lot of militia.
  6. - Wait to have a large army and that Germany began to collapse, then launch an offensive against them.
I know that this strategy worked good for me but it was slow and risky, until the fall of 1917 and beginning of 1918 I couldn't start offensive operations to retake Poland but after some months of fight I could reach the Oder river in the fall of 1918.

What haapens if u win as russia in ww1? does the events continue on for germany? What events does postwar russia has if it won?
Well, when I played this game was one of the first versions of the game and I don't remember much about it (also I had lost the savegame so I can't analyze the file). I remember taking some lands from Germany and after it releasing Poland as a buffer state between the Russian Empire and the German Republic. The game worked fine until I finished it, in Germany Hitler seized the power and invaded France (1939 I think) and, in 1941, I invaded Germany to restore the peace in Europe. It was an strange game but was very funny.

Hey all. You can survive as Russia. It is one of my favorite non-historic forks to play. You can have lots of fun and you get to decide to stay or not in the Entente. I would leave if you want to go for a world conquest or at least taking out all of the majors. Actual total world conquest would be pretty boring after the majors are gone.

Hi @delanonne let's try this link. Unfortunately, I had to zip it using Winzip. Let me know how it works out:
