Hey A I have never seen that. Did you click on the no war until 1939 option or something else? I always pick the no war until 1939 and have never seen that happen.

Yes picked both those options. Iam playing mutilplayer if that makes any difference.

There must be a bug with Sweden. Every single game I started they "claimed" and annexed Finland from Russia on july 1914 for no reason. The issue must be in TCG-SWE-Sweden.txt and it has to do with some missing triggers but I'm not good at reading event files.
Sorry if it was already reported.

Yes picked both those options. Iam playing mutilplayer if that makes any difference.

Ah A that makes sense then. Yes the options are for a single player. With multi who knows what will happen. The options control the AI not players. Aside from that I am glad you got multi to work. Did the other guys/gals pick the same options? No idea what happens if everyone is not the same. Please let me know how it goes.

Hey T are you using the new version from page one with the checksum of LFQR? That is what happened with the old version. It has been fixed on my current version which we will be releasing. If you want I can post the fixed events and you could just pop them in place of the old events and or overwrite them in mod/db/events/TGC events and that will give you the new Sweden events which I just tested today. Those things do not happen now at the start of the game but, if you play Sweden and join the Germans and do well against Russia in Finland you can get the option to do a separate peace with Russia and they will give you Finland to kick Germany under the bus, which is what I did for test purposes. Let me know if you want the events.

Hey A I was looking yesterday and I think the correct choice is force everything. That is what I always pick. This option tries to make everything go historic. It is not a guarantee I am afraid though. The mod is pretty big and it sometimes does what it wants. It is like herding cats. You can always load up as one of the countries at war and use the accptall cheat to get a white peace, save and then go back to your game. I do that sometimes when the mod is being naughty. That is what the cheats are for, fix things when it goes off the rails.

Hey all I have to apologize about the Sweden events fix. It seems to only work if you play Sweden which is how I tested it. A member of the team told me it is still broken and I launched a game as Oman and yes it still gives Finland to Sweden. I will get back to the guy who fixed it and ask him to fix the fix. I will let you know and I will post my old bandaid version later.

OK hi all. To make it up to you I have the temporary fix for the Sweden problem with my bandaid fix. You just go into the mods/db/events/tgc events and delete the Sweden.txt file. Then rename the Sweden.bak file to Sweden.txt. That is all. When we have a permanent fix you will get it. Oh and as a special treat I have a good end of WW1 historic outcome for those of you who do not want to play out WW1. Hang on... OK just unzip this into the mod/scenarios/save games folder and bingo you are good to go. It is a save for Oman in early 1919 and the war has just ended historically. Enjoy.

So I have been playing the Grand Campaign and right now I am in 1949-1950. I play as US and gone through both World Wars and hoped to play an interesting game of Cold War. It has been fun and interesting although I see that there are many things that still needs work.

For instance, when WWI ended with german defeat Poland wasn't created. Instead Germany kept the polish areas. Poland was created later on as a puppet state under the Soviet Union but since Germany had most of the polish regions the communist puppet Poland had like 3-4 areas. This prevented the Danzig thing from happening and let to a scenario where DOW from the allies didn't happen before Germany had launched operation Barbarossa and was far into Russia.

Also something that has bugged me a bit was that after World War II finishes with Allied victory Soviet Union has an extremely high amount of belligerence. This makes the AI go crazy with hostility toward SU and within a few weeks after WWII has ended some dumb Allied member declares war against the SU. This is fine in the Doomsday scenario where the purpose is to have a final showdown but when you want a cold war scenario it is a no-go. It would be cool if there was some sort of event that could reduce Soviet belligerence.

The Sovs are supposed to pop up before the Germans are defeated and they should hang on until the events in Oct 1918. I already made some changes to make it happen less but, more is needed. Before we had the old end date and really no postwar at all. The great CWTT mod really helps with tech up to the late 80s which allows for much more play time with the mod. Anyway we are and have been working on the mod since 2011 and it is getting better we do what we can with the manpower we have which goes up and down from one to six. We will keep on keeping on.

Alright I can't be too mysterious.

We are including at least two new mods at the moment. Both add a considerable range of content. We will update the thread when more has been implemented.
