just a few quick questions for you guys.

Playing as brazil to get a grasp of the game.

1) just finished a war in which i won again peru and columbia. i was exporting a lot and when the war finished my exports dropped by 20. Why is this?

2) I tried revolutions and when i start as brazil i am making no money. in vanilla i can make 10-20 a day no problem. so what changed in Ricky?

hope this hasn't been asked to many times before.

You mean in value?
Well, if you didn't change any POPs around, perhabs it's just a case of one of your major exports (at that stage those beeing fruit/catle/sugar iirc) seeing it's price drop at the world market. Maybe some other big producer got those juicy +320% efficiency inventions.

My guess is the capis are now buying less goverment bonds. It's not so bad though, they're saving it up to build nice goodies for you.

War exhaustion OR war deaths.
War exhaustion takes a while to disappear.

Unsure on how long that will last... depends on a few things by all accounts.

"War Exhaustion

This represents the fatigue level of a country towards its current war. This value, a percentage, is calculated based on the number of troops the country has lost in a war. It also has something to do with the ferocity of the war in general, including whose land is being taken, but the calculations have always remained a bit shady. What is for certain is that the longer a war drags on, the higher War Exhaustion goes. This can lead to eventual revolts of the population in the home country. Note that war exhaustion rises much faster in countries with smaller populations.

Another factor to keep in mind when analyzing War Exhaustion is that, in a war between a civilized and an uncivilized country, the civilized country tends not to develop much, if any, War Exhaustion, while the uncivilized country is subject to the normal calculations."

Well it can cause your population to revolt, but revolts wouldn't be very noticeable with 13% war exhaustion.
It also decreases production efficiency. Probably does other stuff too, but I cannot tell you.

As for how long it takes to go away, that is also something I am vague on.

downloaded the patches and off i play. Early first game so i am like two tec's before industry. Other than steel what are other solid industries to start with? I am thinking lumber because im going to be making a lot of railroads. THat or paper.

any tips?

If you used mobilization craftsmen working in factories might have reverted back to farmers or labourers again.
