I'd advice those who cannot play at the proposed day/time (most of us do can) to try to find a sub and, of course, inform him/her of the situation... and, preferably, to be someone who can roleplay! ;)

Ok, i personally need this to gel some. I can play on Thursdays and got the ok from my sig. other or Friday (she knows about that too) but its not fair to her for me to keep having her shift her plans. So I kind of need to know when we are playing without much more change or I will end up in a disagreement with her and next thing you know I won't be able to be there.

So one last time.

When?

Edit, Friday later is ok as we really didn't get going till 2 hours later last week.

Alright, everyone seems to be ok with Friday, so the start time will be this Friday, 1 hour later than we started last week. Any suggestions, complaints, or compliments about how smashingly sexy I am, send them via ICQ. :)

EDIT: I've updated the first post with the new time.

Since Couche has given to me (upon my request :D ) the duty of editing the savefile when needed, and since we have a territorial exchange to be done (Frenché Comté from Spain to France), I have two questions regarding this:

1ª: Couldn't it be alternatively done using a short war? Upon agreement, France DoWs Spain, captures the province (it's not a french core) and gets it in the peace deal. It would cost stability (same religion) and BB (with increased stability costs and poorer diplomacy with the AI).

2ª: If editing is the way to go (as I propose it should be), should I remove from the province any tax colector, governor or chief judge it might have, and cancel any possible province improvement ongoing (i.e., missionaries, improvement of forts, etc)? I propose an yes on this, since that's what happens when you conquer a province. Remember that any manufactory would be untouched, as you conquer it with the province.

I completely agree with #2; a straight edit would be best. I don't think #1 should be used, because it would be unfair to give Lady Europa a stability hit for what is assumed to be a peaceful deal. Also, it would cause war exhaustion for both sides to recruit during the period of this "fake war". And when it comes to trading obscure colonies halfway across the globe, the declare war method will not work so great.

We will of course have to maintain back-ups of the original, unedited saves just in case you managed to screw it up somehow. :)

for me firday sounds great too!!! But i dont remeber what time did we meet last friday, so can anyone say it to me?
Check the first post in this thread. It has been updated with the new time. Which reminds me: I usually update the first post with any relevant information, so all players in this game might want to look at it every so often.

On another note, everyone please remember to download the new Feb 07 beta before next session. Johan can sure crank out those patches.

Okay, then editing is the way for this territorial exchange. But, before editing, I would like to ask one thing for the people: If a new treaty that requires editing will be signed until the next session, please announce the treaty until Friday 03:30 GMT (that is, exactly one day before our session), so I don't need to rush with the editings.

Of course, backups will be made.

Is there enough time to edit Calais to France?

England and I agreed on a deal. i get Caliais and I pay 1000 ducats. of course paymet would take several years. :) Or maybe we should leave that one till after this session?

Then... Calais from England to France and 1000 ducats from France to England. Okay... if you want, I'll edit this. Remember that, if somehow you have less than 1000 ducats, you'll have automatic loans the next month of gameplay, because the treasury would be negative.

Couche, please list this action in the first post of the other thread, so Friday I can edit everything at once. The first post of that thread is really a nice place to centralize the editings that must be done! :)

Hmm maybe it'd be better of I handle the payment in game?

That way i can pay when I can afford to, and taking loans causes inflation.

So please edit Calaos only and not the money transfer.

Thankyou. :)
