One short question:

I've been editing some of the DB files and everything works fine but not the colonynames files. I've done the same thing to ALL files. Why doesn't it work? I've tried to change it from an excell file to text, but it still doesn't work. Is the colonyname file speciall in any way?

And is there anyone who knows about any historical Danish admirals, which is not included in the game. I'm often playing Sweden and I want Denmark stronger and harder to beat at sea.

Thanks for replies...

Nope it's not in anyway different from the otherfiles, did you edit it with notepad or exel?

Now now, we all know the Danes were trolls and never had a decent king, general nor admiral :D

Have you downloaded AGCEEP?
If there's a Danish admiral that's been left out AGCEEP will most likely have included him.

I don't remember but i think I did the same with all files... So it makes a different if I edit it in excell first?

I have had a look at the AGCEEP and there's not much there. I was wondering if anyone maby had created a few on their own, to compensate the lack of them. I've been boosting Denmark's navy to be more resiliant because it would be nice to not be able to just "walk" in to their capital when ever you want, nice historical admirals would furtherly improve this...

I know some people have been in to this before, to make the Danes a bit more resiliant at sea.

Excel is bad at editing the type of .csv files that EU2 uses, at it will have a tendency to place quotes around text, use notepad instead.

If you save as Formatted Text Space Delimited, you get a PRN file, which doesn't have those @#$% quotes. Then you can save that file as whatever you want, or paste from it.

You can always just make the Danish Admirals a bit better (Niels Juel is 3/4/4, one of the best Admirals to have live), though the easiest way to make Denmark stronger is to set the aggresivesness of the AI lower (yes lower, Denmarks AI doesn't cope very well with an agressive AI).
Also, here's a site for some of DEnmarks military history, though it helps if you can understand Danish:
