Everytime I play the 1945 scenario, Turkey always declares war on Kurdistan in 1946. This occasionally results in a Soviet invasion of the nation. Bug?

Never had this. I could tone down aggressiveness of Turkey towards Kurdistan a bit and we'll see if it helps.

Now player (for emaple, playing for USA in vanila 1.3 RC3) can't build 2 or 3 nukes to August 1945
pls change it in this file

start spamming nukes later :)

Table of Global Nuclear Weapons Stockpiles, 1945-2002
http://www.nrdc.org/nuclear/nudb/datab19.asp

110 nukes in 1948

But I can't really change nuke build speed depending on a year :O I guess I'll leave it mostly as it is, maybe give Americans one more tech.

Is there a way to get the Chinese Civil war to restart? It's 1953 and both sides choose "the time is not ripe" whenever the choice appears. Does it have anything to do with Korea or Manchuria? As Britain I invaded both after the US didn't nuke Japan. Korea is unified and NATO-aligned and Manchuria is still under my direct control.

I don't know what may be the cause. The probability for declaring the war is actually over 50% (CHC gets a bonus for holding Manchuria) and the only reason why it may go wrong is that "A" option is somehow invalid. But the A option contains only "war" command. I'll add a trigger regarding military access, maybe this prevents the war from happening.

Playing as Israel (started 1945 with Britain, swapped to Israel). Why do the Western Allies join the war (USA has some balance of power event and then I get nuked). I annexed Palestine and was beating Egypt when that happened.

And when playing 1933 scenario Germany never starts Barbarossa.

Whom do the Western Allies join? If it's Egypt, then it will be necessary to play with neutrality settings. Egypt has a separate AI file so it should be easy.

Don't know about 1933 but I heard about such a thing. It shouldn't be in any way connected to NWO2 anyway.

Hey, so um about the lack of minister personalities, I think EvW has a solution for that with their minister traits for HoS and HoG in that game. The've also been gathering possible minister traits as well in this thread

Here are the traits, there are some more but I don't think they have counterparts in HOI2:

Code:
extremist
hardliner
bureaucrat
administrator
reformer
ambitious
lethargic
visionary
traditionalist
dictator
autocrat
democrat
zealous
moral
parental
liberal
courageous
fortunate
honest
loyal
reputable
controversial figure
courteous figure

Just match the trait to their HOI2 counterpart and you're set!

I'm already done with minister personalities for 2.1.1. :p

As I mentioned in my earlier post, the Civil War (when it worked for me) is stuck in a stalemate. By 1951, Communist China only took some of the western Chinese provinces, other than that it is simply a back and forth with no gain for either side.

Also the Greek civil war always causes WW3, the Soviets always stay allied to the Greek Communists and will help communist Greece when war breaks out. Then Greece will join NATO causing the U.S. and allies to get involved.

Updated Vanilla Events

Hi Bizon!

I didn't observe it until now. ;) I saw that the vanilla events that are in the mod are outdated. Things like the new commands that were implemented into the new patch are not used in the events in the mod. Therefore I decided to "update" the vanilla events in your mod. I was completely sure about the surrender events not to include in the events but I was not sure about other things. I saw lines like NOT = { flag = cold_war } or something like that and I didn't delete them, but of course if you would look over the events to find some errors that would be great. I don't know which program you use for that but I used WinMerge to ease my work. Anyway I hope that you appreciate it and maybe include it in the next version or in any future version ;D

Yeah, It's Egypt. The event that fires for USA is "maintaining security in Europe" or something. Same event also fires that causes allies to join Iran against Kurdistan.

OK, so it's through this event and it's a key info. This event is one of the most troublesome ones in the mod's history but I can't discard it completely if I don't want free DoWs in Europe commence. But everything is doable by adding a special trigger or two :)

Hey all, I just tested NWO 2.1.0 and I've found some bugs:

After the Soviet Union took Northern France, US-occupied Southern France was given back to Free France. I'm not sure if that's even supposed to happen, as opposed to simply "France" being formed there. Either way, this "Free France" now keeps getting an event which involves moving its capital - they keep selecting "To Algiers", and the event comes up again and again.

India has been decolonised, but for some reason, India itself has amassed an extreme amount of belligerence. First time I noticed countries like Transjordan and Palestine declaring war on them, they had ~300. Now they're losing the Indo-Pakistani war and they have ~450 right now. Everyone has declared war on them - everyone from South America and the Middle East in particular, but the NATO got involved too. What's going on? Their belligerence still appears to be rising rapidly.

Israel has annexed all of Palestine, Transjordan, Egypt and Iraq. There seem to be no events like "We have won the war, let's establish loyal puppets" or "It is time to create the New Jewish Empire! Settlements everywhere!". They are not releasing anyone on their own either. Also, it's weird that Egypt was the weakest Arab country because it got no free armies like Palestine and such.

Cyprus has declared independence from the UK during WWII, and even though Nicosia is only guarded by 2 understrength divisions, the NATO aren't invading even now, nor are they offering white peace. However, the USA has nuked Cyprus already.

Regarding Egypt and Iran dragging the whole world (or half of it) into the war, I removed the event-driven guarantees so the problem shouldn't happen anymore.

NWO has events moving capitals but I'm sure Free France is not meant to get them (because they are meant to convert to France). The mod's choice set is Paris/Bordeaux/Marseilles anyway, so it's probably a DH Full matter. What the mod could do is to "really" ensure that Free France is no more after the war. Currently, AFAIK, there is a single event that fires during the earlier part of Der Untergang sequence so if things went slightly less historical, this might not work. As a note, USSR taking Northern France is not anything so uncommon, but who knows?
India has been decolonised, but for some reason, India itself has amassed an extreme amount of belligerence. First time I noticed countries like Transjordan and Palestine declaring war on them, they had ~300. Now they're losing the Indo-Pakistani war and they have ~450 right now. Everyone has declared war on them - everyone from South America and the Middle East in particular, but the NATO got involved too. What's going on? Their belligerence still appears to be rising rapidly.
Wow, I don't know exact mechanics behind belligerence generation but the mod doesn't ever give more than 25 belligerence, I think, and not in persistent events. Can you replicate that behavior? When exactly does India get such amount of belligerence?

On a side note, it's good that countries react to belligerence DoWing India. I always doubted in efficiency of belligerence but it seems to work and it's much more elegant measure than events trying to manage world balance.
Something must have gone wrong because after the 1948 war, countries are designed to release countries (and indeed, total Jewish victory
should bring more or less the two-choice event you mentioned). I'll check it and while we are it add "release" settings to Middle Eastern AIs, now when the countries use separate files.
Cyprus has declared independence from the UK during WWII, and even though Nicosia is only guarded by 2 understrength divisions, the NATO aren't invading even now, nor are they offering white peace. However, the USA has nuked Cyprus already.
That's bad I can't add invasion target on every island just in case. If you post a link to your savegame I'll take a look.

EDIT: You may expect a 2.1.1 version soon. I only have to finish a new event chain for Castro coming to power, to determine if we get historical alignment with USSR or alternative rapprochement with USA (which could turn out well or badly depending on American stance).

I only just started playing this mod, but if the events are all there as I had originally written them, you'll get plenty of chances with AST.

To tell a couple more words about the latest release:

Cuba receives now six events shortly after the revolution where the player can choose whether to swing their alignment towards USA or USSR. All those events change relations between Cuba and both superpower which are now reset to 0 in 1959. Historical choice for most of them guides Cuba towards USSR, save for the first event (Castro's visit in USA in Spring of 1959) which gives an American option a bit of a head start.

All in all, if Cuba ends up leaning towards USA, Americans can force the island into submission - something that Castro feared - or establish fair relations. This means that the American option is a pretty risky one and provides for a gamble, even if a bit simplistic.

USSR is a safer bet for Cuba but even Soviets can decide not to support Castro, albeit with a much small chance of AI choosing this approach. Economic difference is not that big but Cuba left out in the cold will be more susceptible to Bay of Pigs invasion (50% chance of success) and missile crisis will not occur.

As for the other miniature event chains:
- In 1952 USSR can send Stalin's Note to propose united Germany; USA, ENG and FRA, each, can reject it as a whole, accept it without any conditions (but it's not too probable) or accept it on the premise that Germany will be able to join NATO (but this in turn is hardly acceptable for USSR)
- Around 1962 Indonesia can prevent formation of Malaysia (united Malaya + Sarawak) by sending troops to Borneo and trying to stop Malayan influence there; historically, the event involved intricately UK as well, for now the event only allows Malaya and Indonesia to set their level of engagement, pay some price in manpower and wait for the random result; the best - improbable - outcome for Indonesia is inheritance of Sarawak
- In case of WW3, when USA enter Russia, they can choose to support Russian solidarists to create diversion behind the enemy lines which - if successful - gives USSR some dissent; after the successful war, representatives of solidarists can get into the new government if USA chooses to do so.

As for the 2.1.2 short-term plan:
- the next separate event chain that waited long to be written is electoral victory of Togliatti in Italy and possible transformation of Italy to communist dictatorship - with possible influence of external and internal factors
- I see that confrontation of Indonesia and Malaya, now as it is written, could use of one event for UK's influence and then, in case of this undeclared war going not satisfactory enough for each of the sides, both countries should be able to transform it into full-scale one
- 1960 AI but it's mainly a copy-paste thing with small changes
