Hmm,

There are two issues, I'd like to ask You about.
Playing as Polish Peoples Republic, from 1945, IIIWW issues:

1. I was nuked by US like 7 times, and in one nuked province there was a factory production on the way. A few months later, when production reached 100%, it did not added factory, instead switched to 0,02%

2. There are some french troops surrounded on their territory, and when I try to attack, it gaves my communicate about defeat at the time of attack. There is like 3-6 their beaten div surrounded by fresh 12 div +30 soviets.
That happened before, but at the time soviets attacked first and I joined the attack, it was fixed, now even with soviets its defeat.


And BTW:
As the NWO2 PRL techteams are far too strong and many I decided to change them a bit. I need someone who wouldl ike to play-test the game with PRL from 1945 onwards and share the experience. Please msg me.

Just as in the case of beta version, the main point of interest is the revisited tech tree, with proper starting techs and unit models applied to all scenarios. If you find any errors in the tech tree or you have any suggestions, then this may be the best thread to discuss it. I checked every scenario and had no crashes so I don't really think there should be any CtDs.

Savegames from the previous versions aren't compatible with this release.

And thanks eeex for the flag link, I didn't suspect it was available somewhere. :)

I had a ctd on latest version of NWO on starting any nation on 1959 scenario. Worked out what it was the alg_model_11_3 file is 32bits color depth, so I quickly made it 24bit and now scenario works.

The file is not there in the latest releases but if you overwrite earlier version with a newer one, old files don't get deleted so you might still have seen crashes.

I play 1945 NWO scenario in NWO228 and i see nationalist china always win against comunist china, ducht indies annex indonesia,south vietnam annex north vietnam and india annex pakistan during the independance war( 1947), pakistan have too many garrison units ,comunist china too many milicia units and built many mountain div(built time too higher) I think.AI bug in military balance?.

First off, thanks to the NWO team for a great mod that I was hoping for ever since I first played Hearts of Iron. After the disappointment that was the East vs West cancellation, I went ahead and looked for Cold War mods for Darkest Hour (because I'm not too fond of HoI3) and found this gem.

In the mistaken assumption that it was a finished mod I downloaded nwo 2.27 and started playing from the 1945 scenario as Saudi Arabia. Everything was going fine till 1964 when I lost all my army commanders and they were replaced with default commanders all with level zero skills.

Ah well, I enjoyed it greatly during that time though I did notice (through digging through the files) that there was a lack of tech teams and events related to Saudi Arabia. But I couldn't find the economic changes that happen every five years. The reason I ask is because I want to know if the manpower resources in Saudi Arabia stay the same over time. During the beginning of the game, it makes sense, Saudi Arabia's population didn't start exploding till the 70s but is that accounted for in the game?

I have followed the instructions for installing by copying files from the NWO2 mod into copy of Darkest Hour v 1.04 keeping newer files as doing so. I have done this at least 5 times and it always crashes back to Steam after entering single player. Help.............. Could it be I don't have the RC1 version of Darkest Hour or what???? I have gotten no error codes.

Mods are usually never finished :) I don't think I added any tech teams to Saudi Arabia and there's not too many events because there I found no actual events on bigger international scale which generally got my attention for other countries.

About commanders: there was a time when sometimes someone complained (I rightfully I must say) that in the late Cold War era there are still thousands of ministers and leaders from WW2 timeline. So many versions ago I decided to introduce a cutoff date around 1960 so that most of people left alive by then are deemed retired. There is a big bunch of generic commanders that have the great ability of actually gaining experience (something that random generals cannot) but this has to be earned in wars. I guess, there's no perfect way; if the mod had an installer, that would surely be one option to put there.

Problems with anti_tanks being built is an old problem which I managed to fix in a hotfix to 2.2.6, I think, so it shouldn't be the case. Can you post one of those savegame files (I hope it won't look that garbled as in your post :) )? I'd take a look.

There shouldn't be any newer files to be kept but you may try to copy the files and replace everything regardless of date and see if it helps.

I'm surprised too :) The Indonesian description comes from Darkest Hour Full so it's not the part of NWO and I'm almost certain it has it roots even deeper, in HoI2 days. I'll be doing some descriptions for the next version so I'll try to remember to replace it.
