How many of you have played with random leaders only and truly can say something about this issue from experience, by the way? :D

To be honest i have to say that i didnt play a "only random leader campaign". I just thought that it could be fun to play it.
But i wont give any new arguments not based on empirism if all (or most) of the players, who played already in such a campaign vote against only randoms. :)

I rather remove random events from the game. That truly would leave ones country to skill, instead to lucky deflation events ;)

No random events also removes the main advantage of low stabcost. So that would remove a part of the game that requires some skill.

Not really. Everyone knows that no random events will be there taking away stability and thus everyone (except maybe the war-hungry-poor-land countries) will simply choose free subjects to go instead of serfdom.

Unless you meant part of the skill is this deciding about this choice? Well I can tell you: It's simply now too, always go full serfdom :D

Well I got negative experience with a random-leaders-only campaign, but truth is that part of the reason that it didn't work, is that some players didn't check the stats of the newly generated leaders and thus entered wars unprepared or formed the wrong coalitions. That might perhaps be prevented this time.

So it *might* all work. I am not saying it definately will be screwed if you go with random leaders only. However, we all *do* know that the game works with historical leaders + random leaders :)

yes, youngster ! You are too nervious, when you think you discovered America and preparing for sex.

Seriously Asian expansion, which is land connected to capital, should be forbidden.

Well, in MTT we got only 2 leaders each 20 years, but, i remember once getting a 6 shock/fire leader, and kicked the other player without any problem... There was no way he could stop me (right Ear?).

I would say, delete historical events, random events, historical leaders and random leaders as well, but add explorers/conqs to everyone starting in, perhaps, 1500? That should be funny to see.

Well a good old rule was to forbid OE Persian provinses till 1650 or so.

Atleast i can see i have started a healty debate on all these subjects, which is nice to see. I'll have time to look into the campaign tomorrow, but i'm pretty sure i'll go with FALs 1492 campaign.

Yes Bodvar, that was a great success. You are the only one, besides myself, I know of who have done it, but it seeems Drake have done it as well. Tonio prolly never bothered to do it, it is beneath his dignity :D

People without a RL on wednesdays: myself, Dr Bob, Cobjor, Absolut (without an e on the end), BurningEgo, Ear, FJ, Joohoo, Admiral Drake, RappaR, Frosties0258.

I certainly have a life, although it might not be worth living on wednesdays so Ill just have to thank Cobjor for keeping an open slot for me. :D

I believe Cobjor is the best host of us, if not please let me know.

Absolut can host fine so don't think hosting is a problem

Aladar, I can not host (firewall-issue). Absolut is better.

Ill be able to host once I get my connection to work properly, I think.

Ordinary Fire-campain

You are hereby summoned to participate in the Ordinary Fire-campain, on Wednesday the 10th, or 24th, of August at 19 - 23 CEST. You are to enter apperance in person online or by a so called sub; and you or the sub should be prepared for war, diplomatic affairs, teching and spamming. You are required to apper before your fellow gamers unless prevented from so doing by reason of illness or other lawful excuse for non-apperance as further defined by Dr Bob. Should you fail to enter appearance without a lawful excuse for non-appearance, you may be ordered to a penalty desided by Dr Bob. You may also be declared a "loser" and forced to play the nation of Switzerland. Should you be prevented from appearing, you are to inform your fellow gamers wihtout delay. Please remember, however, that the present summmons will remain effective until you are otherwise notified.

You do realise that you need a special potion to summon me? Nonetheless, if noone objects Id like to enter the campaign.

I and Absolut talked about a new game some time before, and I think he is interested in Spain.

Indeed.
