New to Magicka, some noob questions:

1) When I go online I refresh the server lists and see nothing, I assume I have a closed port but dont know what port/range to open/forward, I can join the random games ok but would like to try some pvp, random always gives me some coop mode.

2) In the adventure mode it plays fine for the first 4 chapters then once I am in the city it turns into a 2fps lag fest, have tried changing the GFX settings but nothing seems to work

(my pc is above minimum requirements q9300, 4gb ddr3, gf 560gtx)


I realy want to play this game, the combat system looks very fun!

Well thanks for the no replies, seems this community either dosent care or is dead.

Sad because the game clearly had potential.

Hosted games use port 27016. I have no idea about the lag issues.

Tbh, it seems that no-one plays this game anymore, especially PvP because no-one (or should I say: a negligible amount of people) understands it. Note however that you can only join games in the lobby, so there could be games going on you aren't seeing. Join the Magicka PvP group on Steam and try to populate your friend list with frequent players. I'm always up for a game, my Steam account is sanityslayer42... feel free to add me

This is a known issue, the devs are looking into it. Fortunately it seems to only be this level, it should be fine there after.
