But not new to the EU series as I've been playing since the original game. I've had my eye on the mods for a while so decided to give it a go at last. Looks great. I tend to play a lot as England on the 1419 Scenario as I love the 100 Years War.
Already like the way things are setup. I've set the AI to coward as I hear this is the best way to get, at least, a more historical game with the AI not making any rash moves. I've begun to take the French puppet lands before Henry dies which I've almost succeeded in. My main question is about Dauphine. I'm worried because i'm on coward aggressiveness he'll not declare war and i'm not sure if they would do this anyway!? Is it best for me to make the first move? I haven't yet as i wanted to take the provinces of the French Puppet Government first. Dauphine has allied itself with Savoy and Genoa. I realise Joan of Arc will appear after Henry dies so need to make my moves while he's alive. I'm playing to get the Treaty of Troyes and have read the FAQs on the AGC-EEP site regarding this.
One other question is Random events. I normally have these on but turned them off as I wanted it to be as ahistorical a game as possible. I'm assuming random events randomises the less important events? I've not really thought before to check what it actually does!?
Also what does Crusader events do? I've never noticed this before!? I left Kingdom of Germany and Italy turned off as I assumed this would only make a difference if you were playing a game where you wanted to unite Germany or Italy.
