This is connected with the ability to load this game via Steam or our Launcher. I don't believe it should cause you any problem.
Ok, thank you. I do think that the cart number should display the actual number of things being purchased, to avoid confusion. And even if it is WaI, it really looks like a glitch, which could hurt people's willingness to use the store website, especially as this makes the cart show that the user will be purchasing more items than they anticipated, even though the displayed total price is the same.
I actually just received two different Synthetic Dawn product IDs under the one pre-order ID, neither labelled as the Paradox Version though. Raised a ticket about it.
Likewise, I have received two emails each containing a Synthetic Dawn Steam key. My Paradox account is showing both keys as available to activate.
Just heard back from my ticket and they've confirmed some orders have received double keys but only charged for one. In my case they've disabled one of them and told me to use the other, which worked just fine.
PLEASE log a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com when this happens. In particular let us know which of the two keys you redeemed so we can nullify the other one.

So I pinged @TheLetterZ on Twitter yesterday and he said I was fine to go ahead activate one key and gift the other, since both have been redeemed what's the recommended course of action here?

OK I'll log a ticket. But, what, you get charged by Steam for these keys? I was under the impression that of I buy a game on the Paradox store you make more money from it than if I buy it from Steam. Is that a misconception?

Of course Steam keys are not free for us ... Steam get some money when we sell a Steam key!
Yes we get more but not ALL of it!
By that, do you mean "No, I don't have to do anything" or "No, I've done something wrong and have been misinformed"? If need be, I'm happy to pay for the second key.

. There was an issue where we accidentally sent some players more than one key (artificial intelligence and all that ) and we intend to disable all extra keys. Feel free to log a ticket (link in my signature) with the key you didn't use and we will sort it.

Slight problem with that, following what @TheLetterZ said I've activated one key and a friend activated the other.
Must've misunderstood my conversation with the store team (not really my field) as I understood it just a few extra keys were sent and don't recall being told to tell people to contact support to get them nullified, these people have way better understanding for these things so take their word over mine in this! Unsure if the key can be nullified once used (probably?) so please do contact support with the extra key. Pardon my misinformation in this, had a lot of balls in the air when I brought this question forth.
I preordered two keys, one for myself, and one for a friend. We aren't in danger of having the rug pulled out from under one of us, are we?

If you ordered two and got two you have nothing to worry about . If you ordered two and got 10, then yes, the others will be deactivated .
