Now, I'm going to admit that among the currently playable weapons, I am a fan of the 'choom choom choom' of multiple lasers cycling, such as from a highly angered Hunchie 4P...

The granulated, fuzzy lasers that reflect real physics has got me stoked.

I'm liking the Cataphract 3D. Does anyone know what year the 3D was made available? It has to be post Helm with the Ultra 5 and LBX10.

I'd still like to get my hands on the 1X anyway. I always loved the Cataphract. It is a cool looking "Frankenmech".

Hmm...I wonder if it will be in the game then? I don't think the game will go to 3050, and if it did, a player wouldn't get much time to use it. Maybe it was just used for the promotional images.

Well, while not canon, Sarna does mention that the CTF-3D was being worked just after Tikonov was captured which was 3030ish, and then goes on to say it was basically a limited run up relegated to the Crucis March Militia up until the invasion at which point all production and hand on deck. So it's possible it could still exist, albeit in limited numbers.

That's probably a good enough reason to have them show up 3030-ish in game. As long as there is a chance, that's all you need .

The game segment will last until 3049 and will include about 50 mechs, as well as only 200 modifications.

They're nice, but I tend to prefer the flexibilry and bombardment capacity of the C1, I most often drop missile heavy.

K2 is sort of a poor man's Awesome.

Complete agreement. Still, Catapult is a support mech and sharpened under LRM. For PPC, it is weakly armored and little effective in its efficiency. Still Awesome for this role created. I'm still waiting for the clan ER PPC. Here is the powerfully will)

Yeah, the original name "NotQuiteAwesome" didn't play well with focus groups, so they stuck with K2 instead
