Half a Million fighting men in UK, 4 Million along the Russian Front and a further Million in reserve at strategical locations around Europe. With over 500IC to use Hitler will take his chances with the fates or die trying.

The Soviet Union had a hard fight on its hands in Turkey when Rommel's vaunted Africa Korp made a dash for the black sea from Syria and into Turkey. While several armies of Soviet soldiers were wipe out in the ensuing blood bath in Anatolia, the Wermacht also sustained heavy loses to its elite troops. In the end the majority of the nearly surounded Red Army of Anatolia made it out of the "Kessel" and the front was stabalized on the Caucus moutain frontier by mid-August.

The question remains: "What good will Hitlers massive industrial base do him, if he has no more men to arm?"

After two years of fearing the dreaded IJN, it turns out it was either completely wiped off the map, or in a state of terrible disrepair. It would seem Japan built no heavy hitters since 1936, and the USA can now rule the seas along with the RN, which incidently still have a lot of ships left, only leaking a bit still.
Japan was, modeled on the German agreement, presented with an offer to evacuate Indonesia in peace, which they accepted and are in the progress of doing.

Anders mentioned last night he might not be showing for this game today. If that is the case we might be extending our EIR Mod game time.

I will make sure that we check in to Valky at 20:00 just to see if this game is going forward or not. If not we might be able to pick up a player or two for the game we are playing or something.

This game is on at its regularly scheduled time. I am correct? Has anyone confirmed this with Anders. I myself would like to bring it further along until its conclusion.

22:00 CET Saturday.

I would rather write a detailed AAR, as the game took a real turn here in 1944, with the SU and Germany making peace, leaving Germay to defend only one front in Fortress Europe. Will they make it too 1945... yes/no?

All hell broke lose soon after when Japan (Allied Puppet) offered to puppet Nationalist Spain, and Spain accidentally accepted. So rather than writing a fancy AAR I spent the afternoon fixing the save file and making this RAR, Spain is back in the Axis and is again a German puppet, numerous provinces returned to their proper status so that England no longer owns Gran Canaria, but merely occupies it and many other little details... in anycase, here is an RAR, instead of an AAR.

I think the save is as good as an AAR in anycase: Anders Saturday Repair 1944.

Players check it out for errors please.

Also, on another note, I would like to edit back in Turkey's researchers, since it has none now, since when you play with Tech Team Takeover "on", if a country is released by any other power than the one that originally annexed it, it does not have its researchers returned to it, as they remain with the country that originally annexed it, otherwise they would be returned upon release. As it stand Turkey can not research anything now.

Is that ok?

Edit turkeys teams back in, fine wwith me.

Your link doesnt seem to work unless its just me being tired and click happy.

All i really care about is that the German troops i had in Spain are still there.

There was 9 infantry and 12 Mountain units (and some other heavy equipment SR'ing in). Ill have a look once youve fixed your link.

My main concern was that my 12 mountains lost all there org. Im back pedalling fast now so no need to punish me more :)

I don't think there is a problem with that link. I just tried it. If you continue to have trouble, I'll email it to you, no problem.

Also there is a thread for this game now at Lord Ederon's board, over here: Anders Saturday Game 44 and Beyond

Anders has an issue with Turkey having tech teams:

Anders said:
No, releasing without owning the tech teams is a player choice. You'd take those teams away from Italy if you did.

My response to that is thus:

cueball said:
We edit for all kinds of programing faults in the game engine. I think this is one of them.

For instance, we always edit in China leaders, and take out their trades and tech embargos against Japan when Japan puppets China in the dungeons and dragons scenario that P-dox invented called the the Fate of China. There is no need for Italy to lose any of those valuable Turkish tech teams, which are busy right now cluttering up the beeches and bars of the mediteranean coast, while the original Italian tech teams are busy at work. Likewise the Soviet Union has picked up all kinds of mediocre scientific and technical minds from its various conquests, and would be more than happy to donate the services of some of them to the fraternal Socialist republic of Turkey.

I don't really care what grade they are, 2' 3' just so they can research something.

We are dicussing it over there. I wonder what other players think.
