New player - Weird text bugs in Situation Log making game unplayable

Hi,

I just bought the game and started playing today. During the first hour of the tutorial I encountered annoying bugs with the text in the situation log being missing \ unreadable \ on top of the headline etc (see pics linked).
Restarting the game fixes it for a few minutes until it happens again after going through the log for a minute.

Is this a known bug or what...? Is this a new bug due to the latest patch?
It is making the game unplayable for me as I cannot read most of the quest text....

Already starting to regret buying the game...this is ridiculous...any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you verified the game cache through steam?

Are you using one of the font alteration mods, or even the default font size settings?

Not using any mods...this is a clean installation. I don't know where you would change font size settings, didn't touch anything like that.

If you register your game/link your Steam profile, you should be able to see both the bug forum and the tech support forum.

To me this looks more like a tech support issue, and it's possible that there is already a solution in there, but if not if you post details of your system setup, the devs may be able to look into it, or one of the other forumites may have an answer.
