Isn't the Habsburg who is count of Aargau in 1066 German ? You can go with him and as IRL make his dynasty rule the world.

Started a game as the Habsburgs, most fun I've had with CK2. From count to Duke of Upper Burgundy to King of Burgundy in about 125 years. I'm working towards expanding across the Alps and northern Italy towards Austria. It would make quite the kingdom in EU3
