New player, hello to all!

Hey everyone like title says im a new player to ck2 and other paradox strategy games. Despite owning this for about 2 years and only managing to put in about two hours I haven't touched it. So ive decided to get into it, as I know once I learn ill enjoy it. I have for the past few days been reading the forum and also the wiki and I watched three tutorial videos by that chap that keeps getting recommended on here.
Wont get a chance to play the game today, but will get a big session in tomorrow. Decided to follow the lets play tutorial on YouTube as I play, so ill be playing in newbie island Ireland.
I have all the dlc but I believe I should turn of sunset invasion, is that correct?
I don't have any other questions yet, not till I start playing tomorrow, but if theres anything I should know now, that would be great.
This seems like a big active friendly community which I cant wait to be a part of.

Welcome to the forums! My number one advice would be to not aim at playing perfectly the first time. If you're new to the game and not super careful, you'll probably end up trying to bite off more than you can chew once or twice (or a lot). Be prepared to accept defeat and see what the new situation offers and where it takes you (hopefully you'll learn from your mistakes).
