New player after reload.....

Hi today i tried to edit an existing 3 player game to 4 player game.France,Austria and Turkey are played,someone wishes to play russia and wants to join the game.Problem is,at beginning of game we decided to edit scenario,that only the countries of players got major status.I looked in savegame and i saw under the line 'missiontactics = 'FRA_GC_MISSTACT' ' the information of which player played this country,in my case 'playername = 'France : Wilhelm' '.Under that stuff there are some informations about numbers of provinces,colonies,gold..... .So i tried same process for Russia,integrate the information of Russia in savegame,but my problem is,i dont know gold of russia.How many probinces and colonies russia got,seems to be no problem by 'columbus'(cheat) in game.
So i tried to cancel the gold information line,but game crashed,frozen at chat room in game when i selected save game.So my question is whether its possible to edit aa new country in a savegame and where i can find the gold of Russia.I had only one success,when i selected the savefile,i saw the flag of Russia and whos player play russia,i edeited correctly,but when the player joined,his mouse was frozen.Please help

i succeded by one reload with a new player.Now i must find out how i succeded.so it could be possoble to play a 3 player game for example till 1560,then 3 players wishes to play and take over an AI country.Very nice.Next post i `ll tell how to create that thing

First of all,the easiest way to change a player or get a new one in an existng MP game is to begin a new Scenario with 8 major countries.Of course you would say now,eaeaeaaae so i cant annect them,but you can remove major status in save file.So you decided for example to play a game by three players.Switched are France,Spain and England.Now you play for 1 week and its 1570 in game,suddenly theres a man wanna play MP with you,so you decided to give him a country in your existing game.
For that you must open save file.Now you see at the top of savefile(open with wordpad) information of all playing countries you edited at the beginning in scenario.In this case its France,Spain and England.So the new guy wanna play Russia,but u cant see russia in savefile,so you must create.So copy one information of a country,take f.e.France

ok now you got 2 times same information of France in save file,edit the second France information ,all 'FRA' to 'RUS' and delete the playername information(playername = 'France : Wilhelm'),that must be deleted by all countries!!!!!!!!If not,it would crash.So thats all,so you can create a 3major MP game to a four player game.Of course you can switch by that methodic from 2 to 8 players,or back from 6 to 3 players,if somebody feels lost the game.

... and the other continue doesn't seem to be a problem.

I played a 3 player game, one left, we continued with no problem. It seemed like the AI kicked in direct.

Now if he want to join again, that is another story.....

Edler Herr,

Wie habt Ihr das mit dem ICQ Status gemacht? Ich möchte ebenfalls dass angezeigt wird ob ich online bin oder nicht. Bitte lasst es mich wissen.

Ich habe Euren Bericht gelesen und überlasse Euch den verdammten Siefel. hehe. Ich werde um 1100 online sein und eurer harren.

Jedoch 40 Jahre kann ich unmöglich Frieden halten. Meine Truppen würden dessertieren, denn das Blut auf meinem Schwert ist schon wieder trocken. Ich werde sobald wie möglich zur Ostsee vorrücken Herr. Preussen wird in Sicherheit unter dem Doppeladler zur Hochblüte gedeihen.

Da Ihr bereits Korporal seid, habe ich meine Meinung hier kund getan um ebenfalls Threads zu schreiben.

Außerdem würde ich gerne wissen wie Ihr Länder spielbar macht.

Yeah prince,so thats the only solution.
Its a very easy way to integrate a new player,i dont know why i needed so much time to find out that.Easy copy one one countryinformation,change all 'FRA' to 'RUS'(only for example) and thats it.But delete all(!!!!!!!!) the playername infos,theres one line in the information.

Now I have open the files but where should I seek to edit only for three Players I wnat generat a game with Ausria, Turkei and France.

Ok prince,you mean a starting game.In that cause you need to edit the wished scenario file.But its same process.Delete the countries arent played by players,so make them annectable.But that isnt a question for MP ,or you wanna integrate these countries in an existing file?If yes send me the file and i`ll prepare it for you.

So prince tell me whats happened?You edited the files?
SOunds last it crashed always when you edit even the scenario files.Perhaps i`ll send you files then you can compare.
