Minor issue, but it does bother me -- on the second screenshot (the 1 September 1939 shot) it shows that the city of "Memel" is already taken by the Germans "peacefully," thereby robbing Lithuania of any access to the Baltic Sea.

True, it did take away a large port, but they should still have access to the water.

Some time ago there was a thread about the unrealistic form of Netherlands & Belgium. It was pointed out that the reason was the way the map is "generated", the engine can't render very thin or detailed parts of land. So that's probably also the reason why Lithuania's coast is missing.

The Tobruk screenie looks awesome.

The scenario selection screen looks slightly more than awesome.

But they really should give us a Spring '45 scenario. :eek:o:confused::(

In Doomsday expansion youll get the 45 scenario. Although I would better like december 1944 with Ardennes offensive. Another expansion would be better 1914 (Great War) than Armageddon. Its Doomsday that simulated the Cold War and Arma was just fun option IMO (although it gave us some nice addons).
End of 1944 or January 1945 would be better than spring 1945 cause Germany is still in play (but doomed) but noone knows how will Allies and Commie act. Cold War? Peace? 'Hot' War? US will have nukes - mabe they will try to retake land from Soviets? Poland was the problem in negotiations with USSR. But i think thats the job for an expansion.

EDIT:
I wonder why theres no frontline on that map. I understand that previous borders could be in but there should be also zone of control/frontline between Axis and Allies on that map. The only one is tha blue circle in Tobuk.

Either way... I don't wanna' wait for an expansion for a late-game scenario, especially one that will probably be ahistorical anyway. :(

But everything looks awesome so far, though I do agree that some colours/borders need changing. For a start, Austria needs to be visible, and personally I would make the hanging flags normal size.

Also, one would imagine France should be a suggested nation in '39... :D

Holy shit those options are awesome. Too bad there isn't an option for operational effectiveness. Also, Latvia's still too squished (to add to the map woes). But back to the important thing, the options! What's political difficulty supposed to be like? More dissent for swapping ministers? Dissent for unhistorical ministers? And what's difficulty for unit inferface supposed to be like? Expert: this interface is so byzantine that even Byzantine fanboys can't fathom it? :p

I realy like idea of starting the game with AI asign to produce war material for me.
But I have question:
Will my "AI ministery of production" ,for instance German, leed production from 1936-1939 to create semi historical Wehrmacht for me by 1939,or what?

the surroundings are ocuppied by axis (italy most likely) and tobruk by australian expeditionaries :wacko:

i think there should also be a 36 sandbox GC, with no events or pre set alliances. thatd be awesome

The AI will build stuff according to its AI-build-files which probably won't exactly mimic the historical builds but should be close to it :)
