IMO, it's going to be CK2, Vicky2 or some new game (viking era being most likely); EU4, HoI3, Diplomacy 2 and Airfix Dogfighter 2 can be quite ruled out.

Of those 3, I'd prefer either a Viking game or DV being dropped in favour of CK2.

Also, I seem to remember from my lurking days a veerrrryyy long time ago (eg. between the release of EU2 and HOI1) that the Paradox team conducted a poll in the forums of five or six different "themes" for next games (obviously not all of which were made).

Does any one else recall this or (better still) have the link to the post?

I finally agree with someone.

It will be a game starting in 1836 or a little before, incorporating Vicky 2, a WWI era, and HoI 3 going into Vietnam or present day. All in 3D.


EU III and Napoleon's Ambition have that period covered pretty well, plus they're new. It's something "big" so it's not an addon or second or third series. Trust me, 1836 - 2006. Either that or Deus Vult isn't coming out till the end of October rather than September....


OR Johan has a son. Susana gets ehhh... (OH GOD, PLEASE DON'T BAN ME :wacko: :wacko: )

Or Paradox moves to Finland from Sweden... :rofl:

I severely doubt it will be a game like that. Paradox has unfortunately shown that they don't quite have the ability to implement different eras of warfare in the same game. Not to mention that if you start out in 1836, odds are that you will never see anything remotely resembling WW2.

While I would enjoy a CK2 I doubt that will happen with the new push of DV. Hopefully its something completely different(at least in setting). Yet another series as good as the ones before would be great.
