I'm playing a game as Germany and I was able to defeat France, after defeating Belgium (Luxembourg and Holland were not involved). Vichy France has been created, but I expected some events which gave me ownership, not only control, over the conquered territories in France and Belgium. At least that is what I had understood would happen using NOW. What should I expect, just wait a little more, or this is not going to happen?

well firstly your going to get moved to CORE thread

and perhaps France chose the very rare of option of fighting till the end, at which point vichy france won't install and you will have to defeat France city by city.

Nah, NOW gies you the ability to puppet England, replace France with Vichy permanently, make RPA join Axis and retake your pre-Great War colonies.

Still, it's very hard to trigger in current setup. Basically, you have to:

- succesfully invade and conquer Home Islands,
- UK can't control Gibraltar, Malta and Egipt,
- UK can't be allied with the US.

There is also some random factor added to the event, so it's possible that it won't fire at once.

Those are rather hard conditions, since US war entry skyrockets when you invade UK, but IMO a bit more realistic then easy puppeting by taking Home Isles only. Puppeting UK gives you bases, resources, powerfull fleet - it can't be that easy.

I expected NOW to make things easier for Germany , but I agree that the current implementation is historically accurate.
