This is a thursday night game playing from 19:30-23:30 CET and hosted in the EU2 channel.

The scenario used is AoI 1492, and we have deployed the following rules:

1. Obey the GM. Always.
3. No gamey play, including weird exploits (and that includes, but is not exclusively, the use of lag colonists, diplomats, et all).
3. Max 1 vassal per nation.

The current year is 1829. Have a look at the stats.

Roster:
Hive (GM) - France
Feanor - Portugal
Fredrik - Denmark
Djeheuty - Ottoman Empire
FAL - Spain
Cheech - Austria
Tonio - Poland
Daniel A - England
Drake - Russia
USA - Bâbur

interesting, but with little correction.

would welcome to move the time earlier by 1 hour
at second, if you want additional countries which you mentioned, that is not 1568 scenario :) I hope BUR will be BUR/FLA/HOL combination ?

I would play with 1492 scenario only or earlier - we all hated hightech with stupid massed combats.

Tonio, I can't play any earlier than the current time. That I am OK with that time is down to the punctuality of the trains improving here.

But if we use new CRTs, that isn't so much of a problem.

If we play earlier, at least Owen and PJL (possibly more) won't be able to join.

If it's a 1492 start, Burgundy will be played only untill 1516 - when Spain will inherit. Netherlands will then later be released as a player nation (same thing will apply to USA, btw - are you reading this, FAL?).

Regarding late-tech combats, I do agree that they are kinda annoying. But that's why we will be using Soapy Frog's modified combat charts for NOIV, which should change the 2-seconds annihilation battles of the late tech which we all "love" so much...

You can count me in too. :)

And I, too, can't make it before 19:00 CET.

When NO3 ends I would not have any regular EU2 game going on at all, so I'd like to reserve a spot in this, though I might still change my mind. :)

I'd like 1492 myself.

I would like to see some testing of that one first before throwing it in a campaign...

But this next game *will* be testing it.

When Johan makes some radical change in a beta (and he doest that quite a lot), do you then say that you want to "test" the beta in a few skirmish games before using it for your longterm game?

No better way to test it than using it in a game. And what do we have to lose? It surely can't make combats any *worse*... ;)

Eh, let's say I have a bit more trust in Johans skills than in someone who hasn't programmed the game.

If the possibility is there to test it before campaign start, I favour that.

You know, I am a little skeptical since I hadn't heard about it before you mentioned it and I also don't know anyone who says it's a very good change...which of course proves nothing, but are just my feelings about it.

Hive, i believe nappy test would give good impresssions about fighting on high tech, which we are worried mostly about.

Fine, I'll release a new patch including these battle charts one of the following days... then we can have a test.
