Patience, patience... :D
Holliday season is not good for the new versions, but I hope now we will be able finally launch 0.6. So far it includes only New Order East elements from 3.1 version, but hope that we will be able to add more elements of NWO in later versions.

Tested New Order, Great!!! (1.05b that is)
I' just about to invade the Pacific Pact countries and after annexing most former Soviet Republics I have over 1200 IC...
A minor bug:
- After Vichy France annexes Free France, the capital remains in South America
- After puppeting UK and France, you should reorganize their convoys, I had to do it by myself.... Their troops org was 0 and their ICs where almost null.

Besides that GREAT JOB!!!:)

PS: What about an American or World NeW Order, annexing former british colonies (CAnada, Australia, NZ and South Africa) and dividing the US between north and south again... or give it back to their former colonial owners (UK, France and Spain)...??
Ok, probably that would be too much modding anyway...

Both the UK and Vichy (Vichy especially) should perhaps get new AI's upon NOW. It would be nice to see Italy, the UK, and Vichy all contributing lots of troops to any offensive against the Soviet Union. As it is now Vichy doesn't seem to even defend itself.

Ok, probably that would be too much modding anyway...

I would say that most of these nations would simply become Axis puppets. There might be a few exceptions, with Carribean nations being either returned to the UK, France, Spain (Cuba?), or given to Germany (I'm sure they'd want an island or two). It seems almost silly creating a New Order for the US, as any conquest of the US by Germany means that the game is effectively over....

Still (it is fun to do), I would imagine that if Germany did conquer the US it would take drastic measures to make sure that the US could never oppose it on the world stage ever again. Probably it would be divided into several nations, each essentially an Axis puppet.

Several areas might be annexed outright by the Axis powers:
-Hawaii, Alaska, other US Pacific islands to Japan

-Puerto Rico to Spain or Germany

-A few major industrial areas to be pseudo-annexed (New York City, San Francisco, maybe more). In game terms these would become German or Japanese territory but without becoming National provs... Sort of a West Bank situation where the Germans adminster the area without ever directly annexing it...

-Spitting up the USA/Canada into several nations:
-Quebec [Capital: Quebec City]
-Ontario (includes Wisconsin and Michigan) [Capital: Ottawa]
-New England (includes Atlantic Canada) [Capital: Boston]
-United States of America: States of Pennsylvania, upstate New York, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, W. Virginia, Ohio, Illiniois, Indiana [Capital: Washington, DC]
-Confederate States of America: North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana [Capital: Atlanta]
-Republic of Texas: Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona [Captial: Austin]
-Republic of California: California, Nevada [Capital: Sacramento]
-Republic of Columbia: Oregon, Washington State, Idaho, British Columbia, Yukon Territory. [Capital: Seattle]
-Deseret: Utah [Capital: Salt Lake City]
-Some sort of Midwestern Republic (name unknown): Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, N/S Dakota, Minnesota, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, 1/3 of NW Territories (the other bits split between Ontario and Quebec). [Capital: Hitler City/Kansas City]

Anyway I've assuredly babbled enough....

First off, the New Order Events make HOI a lot more fun.

Didn't the SU/Russia become blue once you tried to liberate the minorites from Bolshhevik rule in the last version? Now its pink...odd. They start out red but they become pink, now that's progress!

There is one odditiy in my current game. The Ukraine exists but it is not whole. For some reson the Ukriane exists and i gave Lwow to them but it is spearated because Russia owns Vinnitsya and Zjitomir. Is this just a problem with my game or have others experienced it?

Also, as Germany I now own Murmansk and Kirov (whatever the territory east of Murmansk is) even though it was Finland who liberated it and Russia has annexed the SU. Is this part of my deal for materials or a small problem?

Great mod and a great AAR.

You have found a small problem I believe, both regarding the Ukraine and Murmansk. I'll look into it.

In the previous version of New Order, I had included a file that assigned colours to the different countries, which I had edited to make Russia Blue, Flanders Yellow and Egypt light Green (since its an Italian puppet). That file is no longer included so colours are default now.

Excepting any changes made to the USSR & Germany event files since 1.05b, and the minister files in New Order, yes.

EDIT: the event.txt and revolt.txt files are incompatible with 1.05c. Will fix in next update.

Will also see if Germany and USSR event files can be lifted out of New Order entirely through judicious use of sleepevent command.

Re: Differnt approach to New Order West?

I'm considering going about NOW in a whole other way;

When the British Isles are conquered, the Germans would get the choice to either make peace with the UK (more or less like it works now, except the UK won't become a German puppet) or to create a kind of "Vichy England" under Mosely, the "British Social Republic". In that case, the UK will fight on from the Empire.

What do you think about this approach?

I suspect that vichy england is more likely, but more likely is the actual occupation; the german plans called for systematic looting, deportation of the army age personnel to be used as labor, etc.

So, making "Reichskommissariat Grossbrittanien" would be default choice, then comes the "British Social Republic" and c) option would be make peace?

In my current game, Russia has annexed the SU. From the annexation, I was given two former SU fleetsin the Atlantic and INdian oceans...7 sub flotillas a destroyer flotilla. For some reason they became German yet still had their Soviet Admiral. I changed the commander of the units to see if that would make them disappear but they were even in my commander pool!

Viktorov, Vorobiev are certain but maybe Kieseritzky as well. It was really nice of them to give me all these ships complete with former Soviet Admirals!

Also, after I did the Vichy England option, all of the UK lands were retained by the UK and they joined the Axis. At the time, there were a lot of Allied divisions all over India and other lands; but the Allied divisions never fought against the UK nor did they take land from the UK. I was just waiting for Axis UK to fight against the Allies but it didn't happen, instead there were Australian and American divisions running around everywhere not firing a shot. The diplo screen said that the lands were in Axis hands.

Have others experienced this as well?

Actually, something along those lines happened in the Where the Iron Crosses Grow game;

When the USSR recaptured Sevastopol, from the Japanese, they got three Japanese cruisers. When the Russian Civil war started, those three cruisers became Russian, and soon thereafter German.

It would seem that when puppets capture ships by taking a port, they go to their master?

As far as the UK not fighting the allies, I haven't seen that in any of my games so far.

NOE Partisan events

Yogi, I'm in the middle of integrating New Order East into C.O.R.E. and I've some problems with partisan events. Not that they not work, but sometimes (especially at late war stage) those events fire in packs (4-5 times at the same day). Is it normal? Or maybe it's corrected in 4.1 pack?

I work on the 3.1 files (only modded manpower/supply loss).

There were two bugs with the partisan events that were corrected in v 4.1, one of which would make them cascade. Otherwise they are exactly the same as 3.1 so you can safely use those instead.

Great work Yogi. New Order is by far the best event mod out there. And also the only mod I have found worthy of using atm. Beats C.O.R.E. with ease.

That's like comparing apples and oranges.

First of all, I'd like to congratulate Yogi on a brilliant event pack. I've had fun playing it upto the point I can!

Couple of things I should mention. One is to do with bugs, and although I'm probably making some stupid mistake, it still crashes the game back to Windows. Anyway, the scenario starts up, but before it gets into the game it will bring up a grey box with 'Database Mismatch', to which I will click ignore and it will send me straight into the game. However, it seems to happen on a random date, but usually whilst i'm at war or about to go to war with Russia the game will crash and send me straight back to windows. I've never had it at the beginning of a game, only around 1941. I'm running the game with the 5.01 patch and the 5.01b fixes so i'm not sure what the problem could be.
The only thing i've edited myself is to add a few more leaders and add a few more unit names in the unit database, but I can't see how that can damage anything if i'm merely adding units.

Anyway, I dunno if that helps with any bug reports you get and with the progress to your next version.

The second thing was an idea I had. A TV program they had over here in the UK tried to guess what the German Occupation and Conquest of Britian might be like. The final idea they suggested was that after Germany reached Worcester, a provisional capital (in the Birmingham Province), the UK would surrender. Germany would keep Southern England (Portsmouth, Plymouth, Coventry, London, Southampton, Bristol) as a Reichskommissariat, and the rest of the UK would have King Edward VIII (the King that abdicated and had met and admired Hitler) as its Head of State, with Mosely merely as a Head of Government with limited powers. Germany would keep control of the South, so to pursue those Germans who had escaped the Third Reich to escape persecution, and generally make sure that no one attempted to take-over the British Government. I guess that would be another option if the German controller isn't seeking to let go of her captured provinces too quickly. Just an idea anyway.

Hope it helps, and good luck with the rest of it!

I'm thinking maybe your custom ministers/leaders have conflicting IDs with the custom ministers/leaders in New Order?

Having said that, New Order 4.1 wasn't designed to work with 1.05c so there might be some other conflict I'm not aware of. I'm working with an updated version right now, aiming at minimising potential conflicts even further (will try to leave out the German and Russian event files).

I agree. CORE is a brilliant mod of historical events. New Order is mostly about events that could have happened. The two integrated would make the mother of all mods, and it seems it is going to happen, eventually.
