I used to play HoI 2 and AoD 1.5, with a few mods to my taste. I recently installed 1.06c and I see that the events about the purge are changed. So I have a few questions:

How this new events, witch didn't affect GDE, behave? Does the Red Army withstand the germans if the purge isn't done? Does the 50% revolt trigger a civil war? And does the new events affecting morale and organization WAD? Is now more interesting not to purge (besides preserving all those leaders and tech teams)?

There should definitely be a chance that not purging can later result in an anti-Stalin coup.

I thought the coups were just paranoia on Stalin's part rather than a response to a real threat - is there evidence Stalin was right?

Good morning,

As far as I know, the Great Purge is more related to Stalin's paranoia than to a real threat.
You can add two things : the Toukashesky'case : Stalin feared the popularity of this general, and the German's deception toward Soviet in order to weak the Red Army.

It could worked, if some generals would not be forgotten, as Zukov or Koniev.
