We might add a few more but we'd have to delete a few countries. Springfield might go and we might drop our Prussia and edit the Armageddon Prussia to be like our Prussia. That would free up 2 tags.

What would be ideal is if the next armageddon patch gave us a lot more free tags to play with. Because there have been lots of great suggestions for countries like Katanga and Biafra. I'd like to see them in the game.

I don't think there's much chance of paradox adding new tags... I mean, they used the Uxx tags for the new nations in armageddon, not actual tags (like U72 for communist vietname instead of something like CVN)

so there won't be much chance of new tags, methinks

rcduggan, I agree that it is highly unlikely. In a perfect world we'd get another 400 blank tags to play with. Thats not going to happen in this one.

We might edit the Armageddon tags. That would free up some tags. Does anyone think thats a bad idea? It'd mess up the Armaegddon scenario but it would give us another 10 tags or so to play with.


Atruejedi, I don't think that would be a problem at all, good sir. Daboo's gone for a few days but I'm 99.5 percent certain that he would have no problem with other mods using our work if credit was given. How's SMEP coming along these days?

That's good news. I'll wait for official confirmation, though, before I bother to import anything (namely Catalonia and Macedonia at this point).

How's SMEP coming along these days?

As far as I'm concerned it's nearly "done." I've accomplished just about everything I've wanted to include, save a few minor things. I'm not saying I'm abandoning it, no, not at all, but I've honestly ran out of ideas because I'm so satisfied with it (once again, save a few minor things). Thanks for asking. :)

Yes, I hope New Nations Mod will allow me to include pieces of it with proper credit, because I've downloaded it and looked at the color scales file... it's an exact replica of Sexxicolors save ONE change, and no credit given. :p

It would be cool if you edit the Armagedon nations to free slots, guys.

But there are a couple of "islands nations" that could also be taken out.

Tahiti, Bermuda, Canarias, etc...

And when you start to add new nations again, don't just think in chop USA in pieces, eh?

Sure, go ahead using the countries info. Be sure to take the info from the latest version because Catalonian and Macedonian ministers were updated !!

I gave credit to SMEP on the Links page of the Mod's website!!, maybe would be a good idea to credit you on the readme file as well to avoid this misunderstanding again on the future :)

Tags can only have 3 digits right, but once u00 to u99 are "used up", can't we simply add say a tag named "UUU" or "U1U", or doesn't that work?

Leader IDs

I haven't downloaded it yet, but referring to the double leader IDs for the new german leaders in v 3.4 of your mod, so you did now alter the IDs of the british troops so there is no overlap?

Moreover, did you observe any more ID overlap in other new leaders, tech teams or ministers added for an yother of the original countries?

As stated in my initial post. I thought that Paradox gave all "original" countries leader, minister and tech team IDs ranging from 1 (i.e. German ones) to ...whatever, with no blanks in between (as far as I know).
So essentially, all those new new leaders, tech teams or ministers for the vanilla countries require a very high ID that makes an overlap with the original IDs impossible.

Otherwhise as in our example (with GER and ENG), all new entries for country A will be "kicked" out by the IDs of country B. :mad:

Please correct my if I'm wrong ( I hope I am :wacko: ).

You're absolutely right. The game is not ready to have a country with more than 1000 leaders, that's why I overlaped the german leaders with the addition of 600 new leaders. Now Is fixed, I assigned a very high ID to the brittish leaders and problem solved :)

So much for the GER/ENG overlap...

But what about my second question. Isn't the original Paradox setting (now I use an abstract simplification) e.g. that GER has ID 1 to 800, ENG 801 to 1200, the USA have say ID 1201 to 1500 and SOV 1501 to 2000, than adding a leader to the US (i.e. ID 1501), this will screw up as ID 1501 is already used by SOV. Do you now know what I mean? IThe problem is not 1000 IDs for one country, but that Paradox created continuous IDs that will give you everytime an overlap problem as long as the new entries have not IDs well out of range of the original numbers !!

GER: 1 - 1578
SOV: 9800 - 10583
USA: 60000 - 60598
AUS: 2700 - 2806
SPR: 3000 - 3124

And so on ... no overlaps :confused: . Did you noticed any other overlap problem? I didn't ...
The only problem was the one you reported me and it was because ENG leaders started from 1000

I have a question!

In the years following the American victory over Japan, the possibility of independent Ryukyu islands became plausible- i want to include that in my alternate Cold War mod (Fatherland).

Could i use the work you already did on the Ryukyus and include that revolter as a revolter? It would be awesome. :)
