Would people like to see an new National Focus added that increases the rate at which non-primary/non-accepted cultures assimilate, and prevents any primary culture PoP in the state from being assimilated into the non-primary/non-accepted culture?

This would help avoid the bug whereby you cannot convert states to colonies because all the Bureaucrats are of a non-primary/non-accepted culture, and any primary culture Bureaucrats that migrate there get assimilated into the existing non-primary/non-accepted culture.

It would also help tone down the insane, natural assimilation rate as it is by giving players an option to have their insane assimilation when they want it, but not be forced into it.

What do people think?

A good rate of assimilation is up to now the result of a policy towards populations to assimilate.

With an assimilation NF, what is going to be left? Already the control over rebels surges has been cut down, laissez faire capitalists are more efficient regardless of the player's attention to their needs.

What is going to be left?

This bug is fixed in 1.2. I wouldn't like the idea of an assimilation focus because there is too much assimilation going on already.

It should be in, organized assimilation was certainly used in this age.
However, the default assimilation speed should be reduced... greatly.

There is one severe problem with the idea - it could quite easily be turned into a player tool to create "ethnic cleansing" of regions by the player, something that Paradox has quite clearly stated it does not and will not support.

Thread closed, as any discussion of modelling ethnic cleansing in Victoria is contrary to the rules of the forum.
