Spain and Austria keep referring to this as a very generous peace, but you have to remember that it will mean that Austria kicks us completely off the continent, even though Austria has no way of threatening our homelands. Still, my main worry is the Austrian naval base in the baltic ocean.

Still though, don't worry, i am considering the peace, as it does indeed seem like we'll have a hard time fighting our way back onto the continent(never say never though.. you haven't really put any economic dents in me, meaning i can build up my forces up to the supportlimit, which would make my army bigger than it was when the war started. But, i suppose none of us want the war lasting that long). We'll of course have to discuss it with England before accepting or further negotiating the terms.

The posiblility fo a bb player is up to our host bandwith, but i dont think an austrian player with germany would be too poowerful for gameplay.

Btw, you should talk about the peace that austrian player is offering you, that i think is very generous.

The fact that the russians have won one or two battles doesnt mean nothing, he will lose a lot more in the future if the war continues.

As Seen said, look at the stats, you will see the land tech, manpower and monthly income of austria.

Thanks to the bad mediocre weather I am still at home instead of on the sailingboat, and that gives me the occasion to reply to som posts.

My bandwidth is ok i would think, we have been running stable so far and we could try with one more. But seeing we dont find a reliable perm for France I would say that should be a minor priority.

However Koning, I would like to add that dispite landtech, manpower and economy, I am doing very well against Austria, and do not fear them. I have already had talks with Jamala and we both agree that peace is our preference, but your attempts to manipulate those negotiations with questionable statements is something I reject to strongly. Tech and such is one thing, the battlefield is anotehr though:
His 40k army was destroyed by my 20k in Bremen. His last army in the norht is in the process of losing against swedish rebels. His 35k army marching at Magyar gets turned away by the AI when i try to continue the game, a strong indication that my army there would carry the day.
I got (as you know) another 50k troops almost on austrian turf.
The battle happens on his land, plundering his provinces, and if we have to cotinue this i will ride my cav over and over through his manufactury provinces. I would say he has much more to lose than I have. And if in all that Chaos Sweden manages to bring in a respectable sized army things will get interresting again.
Looking at Austrian settings and the fact that he has been at war for quite a while now I bet you his warexhaustion kicks in quite a bit before mineas well. So Koning, as much as I respect you and am happy to play with you, in this you see things a too optimistic for Austria.

EDIT: As you mention income, you might also take a look at troop prices. And dont tell me his troops are better.... My amount of leaders makes up for that. I got 5... how many has Austria got? (If any at all)

The Peace

WEll i for one want a BB/Pru player in there or at least i will give my land to BB B ut i will Not let austria push on northern germany just because she knows she's going to lose her northern ports in 1580 and as to the point why did i destroy my nation i didnt ai and lag did first ai was in war to much and raised my we high then Austria attacked an ally of mine (there fore attacked ME) and didnt give reason this is a problem i see and no warning of it either secondly i took 2 loans during the war then got hit with 2 lag loans and so now my economy is in ruin i can not pay 4 loans off i will go bankrupt if this war continues But Austria i will remind you that while you are strong now England, Sweden, and Russia are sleeping giants do not push to hard now the backlash in years to come you may find devastating

England and Sweden: i put my terms of peace in a thread a while ago. You responded to it, but it`s still unclear for me if they`re acceptable for you or no. If not, please state your peace proposal, but keep in my that I already made some concession and that my terms have been agreed with Russia.
Hohenzolern - you keep repeating that you`re willing to give your possession to Brandenburg. That`s not an argument for me at all, for a simple reason there is no Brandenburg player!! - and there won`t be - we have enough problems finding France perm.

I would like to suggest you step up diplomatic activity a bit. I cannot negotiate a peaceagreement that makes everyone happy as I do not know what everybody's bottom line is. Please make CONCRETE proposals. (and don't base it on another player joining the game, as I dont think we have a B player for tonight.

I hope so . Otherwise maybe Koning can edit our relations up a bit so the AI won't send your troops into suicide... Ai tends to care little about winter and such. :wacko:

Germany doesn't seem to be merely a sphere of interest. It seems you plan to annex the whole area. Anyway, my proposal is this: The exact same terms as your proposal, except you don't get vorpommern, i release it as a vassal. This way, we will get kicked out of Germany, and there will be no threat to you. In addition, you will not threaten the baltic sea. These terms would ensure peace in the North.

2) all other swedish and english possessions in germany will be released as vassals
3) austria guarantees independence of newly created states until 1580
4) austria will not nuild shipyard in their baltic port

Glad to hear you two worked it out. Have you and England also come to a conclusion (or had you already?)?

How do we handle it though once AI declares war on a player nation? It is costly to get the WS to peace them. Luckily Duke is a reliable player. Polish AI regularly declares war on Russia.

We need perm France. Now France is relatively weak and Austria strong, so we need a very good player...like you .

EDIT: Oh, OE is also free for some weeks but I think France is more important.
