Why don't we include some mp3s with the download, or perhaps as an addon, so people have some decent ww2 era music to listen to? :D

I don't know about you, but I think the music that comes shipped with HoI is terrible. I personally can only stand Ride of the Valkyries for so long before I want to kill myself, so I never listen to the music anymore. :)

The idea here is to find music from late 30's - mid 40's with the theme of war, and include it in a zip or rar (preferably rar for better compression) file so that people can download and have decent music.

There is of course the issue of copyrights. I am not sure, but I think the music from this time is out of copyright. Maybe someone should check... If it happens to be in copyright still, then at least we can offer suggestions on what to buy. :)

Just my ten cents anyway.

also, wasn't there a "music add-on" thread?

I am not sure, but couldn't hurt to have more than one. :D

It is a project started by Inferis to make a game that is like EU2. Kinda like an EU3 made by fans. :)

"There'll always be an England"
"Run rabbit run"
some of Vera Lynn's songs
and any of the massively cynical soldiers songs that we seem to generate here in the UK (I think WWI songs still got sung...try "Oh What a lovely war for source material)

....

would all be good (IMO)

I think my music files are up to 200+mb now, I've added so much. I think my favorites have been the big band music. A few favorites:

"Take the A Train"
"Pennsylvania 6-5000"
"Begin the Beguine"
"Chattanooga Choo Choo"
"It Don't Mean a Thing"
"Bei Mir Bist Du Schon"

Plus I got the array of classic war movie songs, some good classical (Moonlight Sonata, Holst's Mars, the HOI standard music). And I tried to introduce at least one or two pieces for each country to have some flavor (weak spots are Italy and Japan).

if you want i can help with music, i have over 70 old german song from that time
